Roseanne Barr Struggles to Climb Stairs — Her Partner of 20 Years & Son's Family Are Always by Her Side to Help

Roseanne Barr does not have the best experiences when it comes to love. However, after three marriages, things seem to be going very well for the actress. She has found happiness with her longtime partner, children, and grandchildren. Here are the details of her life.

Roseanne Barr is an accomplished show business icon. Over the years, she has been credited for her works as an actress, writer, producer, comedian, and political enthusiast.

She is a force to reckon with in Hollywood and has had an amazing career filled with several milestones. But away from the spotlight, Barr has had some setbacks, especially in her love life.

The "Home on the Range" star tried her hand at marriage three times before finally finding the love of her life. Barr's first marriage was to actor and writer Bill Pentland on February 4, 1974.

During the pair's time as a couple, they welcomed three children. Unfortunately, after about 16 years of marriage, Pentland and Barr parted ways on January 16, 1990. Following Barr and Pentland's split, the Golden Globe award winner found love again in the arms of actor and comedian Tom Arnold.

They tied the knot on January 20, 1990. Sadly, the pair's time together was anything but blissful. The actress described her and Arnold's romance as "a horrible, dysfunctional relationship" and the worst in her life.

According to Barr, they were always in the news for the wrong reasons. So, to distract herself from all the terrible experiences during her marriage, the actress went under the knife a few times.

Barr had cosmetic surgeries, including a breast reduction, a tummy tuck, and a nose job. The Hollywood icon would later reveal the reason for the multiple surgeries. She said:

"All I know is I sure like those pain pills. I think that's why I had all that surgery. Everytime I had a break, I would have surgery. I think to get away from him [Arnold]."

Eventually, after four years of marriage, Barr and Arnold parted ways on December 9, 1994. After experiencing two failed marriages, the "Roseanne" star did not give up on love and marriage. She walked down the aisle for the third time with her former bodyguard, Ben Thomas, on February 14, 1995.

But unfortunately, their union would crumble a few years later, in October 2002. To date, Barr remains unmarried but is romantically linked to her longtime partner, writer, and producer, Johnny Argent.

The lovebirds met in 2022 after Barr ran a writing competition on her blog. Recalling how they met, the actress noted that she had been chatting with Argent over the phone for a year and fell in love with his voice. She further noted:

"I told him, 'I don't care if you're an amputee, I just care if you have teeth' - teeth are pretty important. I don't mind about the no limbs and stuff."

However, Barr said Argent kept insisting that he was not physically appealing. The actress paid no attention to his words and eventually set up a meeting.

When they finally met at the airport, Barr said Argent was the most handsome man she had ever seen. The lovebirds have remained together since.

Barr is a doting mother to five children, Jennifer, Jessica, Jacob, Buck, and Brandi. The actress shares the first three with her ex-husband, Pentland, while she shares Buck with her third husband. Barr welcomed Brandi on May 16, 1971, during one of her past relationships, but put her up for adoption.

The actress confessed that she was angry because she had left information for Brandi to locate her when she turned 21. However, the doting mother asked the tabloids to stay away, and instead, she hired a private detective who tracked Brandi down.

Barr called her daughter two days later, and the pair eventually reunited. Since then, the movie star has been a great mother to Brandi and her other four children.

Born in 1975, Jessica, Barr's second child, is a writer and producer with credits in "Black Girls Heart Charlie," "Roseanne," and "Childhood Thoughts."

Her younger sister, Jennifer, is also excelling in her chosen field. Like Jessica, Jennifer is a writer known for "Roseanne," "Childhood Thoughts," and "Roseanne For President."
