Aaron Carter passed away on November 5, 2022. He was found in the bathtub by his house sitter, who called 911. The call was placed at 11 a.m., and by almost 5 p.m that night, his ex-fianceé had confirmed his death.

When emergency services arrived on the scene, all the details they revealed were that there was a male body found in a bathtub by a house sitter, but they could not confirm the identity of the body.

Emergency services tried to resuscitate Carter but were unsuccessful, and he passed away. He left behind his 11-month-old son that he shared with his ex-fianceé, Melanie Martin, and his brother, Nick Carter, of The Backstreet Boys.

Carter and his brother were both musical, as Carter released his debut album at just nine years old. He then toured with his brother when the band traveled and opened for them and even Britney Spears.

Melanie Martin, the model to whom Carter was engaged, said that she was crushed by the news of Carter's passing. She is now a single mother to the couple's shared son. She addressed fans, saying:

She also posted a video of herself sitting in a moving car and crying on TikTok. While there was no caption to the video, fans immediately knew what the video was about and offered words of condolence.

She was also seen standing outside Carter's residence on the day he passed. She appeared emotional as she wiped her tears away underneath her glasses. It is believed that she posted the TikTok video after leaving his residence. In another post, she said she couldn't breathe.

Carter and Martin began dating in January 2020. The couple then welcomed their son, Prince, and got engaged. However, they had an on-again, off-again relationship and were not romantically involved at the time of Carter's death.

Before his death, Carter often talked about his son and his relationship with his son's mother. Most recently, he took to Twitter to confess that she had hurt him so severely that he would never be able to trust another woman.

"I want lots of kids, lots of stability, lots of happiness and laughter, and learning and having fun. It's going to be good."

Carter believed that he was going to be an excellent father to his children and said as much to "People" in 2018 before he even welcomed his son with Martin. He also mentioned what he wanted his family to look like.

Carter revealed that he wanted to have lots of girls because he had sisters. His goal was to have a home to raise his family in. He put his second home on the market for $829,000 in September 2022 but did not get the result he expected.

The house was not selling for the price he originally asked for, and he was forced to slash the price by $30,000 just one week before his tragic death. He posted a photo of the home on Twitter, saying that he was ready for a new beginning.

He also thanked his fans for their support and said that although the year had been challenging for him, he was looking forward to the positive change that would come with moving into a new home.
