Dayanara Torres Is Famous for Being a Former Miss Universe and Marc Anthony's Ex-wife
Modeling sensation Dayanara Torres's beauty was so apparent that she was discovered as a potential beauty queen while walking in her hometown. She went on to achieve massive success in the industry. However, she struggled in her love life, especially in her marriage to Marc Anthony.
The Puerto Rican first entered the pageant world at 17. She won her national version of the Miss Universe competition and the ticket to represent her country at the Miss Universe. In 1992, she was a semifinalist in the Miss International and won the Miss Universe International pageant the following year.
In her love life, two of Torres's relationships have been with famous people. Initially, she dated Aga Muhlach, an actor from the Philippines. They were together for four years after meeting in 1995. A year after their separation, she married singer Marc Anthony in May 2000 in Las Vegas.

Anthony and Torres met at a nightclub in 1998, where they were introduced through friends. They married on May 9, 2000, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The first half of their marriage lasted for less than two years before they had a brief separation in 2002. Their first son, Cristian Anthony Muñiz, was born between those dates.
After the first split, they remained legally married. Before long, they decided to rekindle their relationship. In December 2002, the duo decided to renew their wedding vows to restart their relationship. However, It took less than two years for them to separate again. This time around, they had reached a point of no return.
After splitting in October 2003, Torres soon initiated divorce proceedings. On June 1, 2004, the courts officially dissolved the union between Torres and Anthony. An initial $13,400 monthly child support was agreed upon, which rose to $26,800 in 2014. Anthony married Jenifer Lopez a month after the divorce was finalized.

Dayanara Torres Has Not Given Up on Love
After her divorce from Anthony, Torres was back in the dating pool in 2007 when she dated actor Amaury Nolasco. "Prison Break" fans may remember him as Fernando Sucre. The relationship lasted for about a year before they amicably went their separate ways. They both confirmed that they would remain friends.
Eleven years later, she confirmed that she was in a relationship with Louis D'Esposito, a Hollywood film producer. In December 2018, a few months after their relationship had been made public, they announced they were engaged. Unfortunately, shortly after that great news, Torres was diagnosed with skin cancer.
To make matters worse, D'Esposito decided to end their engagement and relationship upon hearing that she had cancer. Regarding their relationship, Torres said, "We were committed, and the plans were going well, but when he learned about my illness, he did not know how to deal with something so hard."

The Former Miss Universe Had Skin Cancer
The model, who later gained more popularity through acting, found out she had skin cancer after her then-fiancé D'Esposito encouraged her to get a mole checked out. That advice may have saved her life as the doctors were able to catch the cancer in its early stages.
In announcing that she had cancer, the mother of two posted a video on Instagram with a lengthy caption that began with the words, "As mothers, we are always taking care of everyone around us... our kids, family, friends & often we forget to take care of ourselves." She reminded people to also look after themselves.
Torres immediately began treatment for her condition. She initially had two surgeries to remove the cancer; afterward, she had to wait for the results of the medical procedures to know what else could be done to conquer the dangerous disease.
Nevertheless, Dayanara Torres has not let this setback blind all hope and make her give up on love. After taking some time off for herself and her family, she returned to the dating scene in 2020. Her friends have also tried to help her by getting her some dating apps.
