The Life-Changing Request

During Monique's pregnancy, an old family friend contacted her with an unexpected request. Like Monique, she was also expecting a baby, but there was one key difference—the friend did not want to keep her child.

She wanted her unborn baby girl to have a safe and loving home, so she contacted someone who could give that to her. She begged Monique to look after her child once she was born.

Monique hoped others would be inspired by her story, taking up the call to love a child needing a home. She knew countless foster kids were waiting for a family they could call their own forever.

It Was Divine Intervention

Monique didn't think twice before saying yes to her friend's request, a life-changing decision. She shared:

"It was definitely divine order. The day [my son] was due is the day I took her home from the hospital, so you just never know what God has planned - you just never know."

Many Kids Need a Loving Home

Monique hoped others would be inspired by her story, taking up the call to love a child needing a home. She knew countless foster kids were waiting for a family they could call their own forever. The mom encouraged anyone considering adoption to take the brave step and show kids they can be loved unconditionally.

Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange revealed that their state had about 3,000 children looking for permanent placement. During Thanksgiving week this year, nearly 200 children were adopted in Wayne County—that's something to be thankful for!
