Jenna Ortega Has Never Confirmed Dating Any Alleged Boyfriend & Is Afraid of Not Finding True Love
Jenna Ortega is only 20 years old but already has ten years of Hollywood experience. Despite all the visible success on screen, the young actress keeps her private life, especially her romantic experiences, well off the cameras and public eye.
Ortega was born in Coachella Valley, California, on September 27, 2002. She expressed a passion for acting at a very young age. She made her professional acting debut at nine and has since scored significant roles in more than a dozen film and TV productions. Her first lead role came in 2016 in "Stuck in the Middle."
On the other hand, her love life has not yet ignited the same zeal as her acting, which is understandable for a young lady who still has many years ahead of her. Nonetheless, speculation on who she is dating has been rife over the years, but the lack of confirmation suggests there is no truth to these rumors.
Jenna Ortega's Current Love Life
In late 2022, a bit of controversy emerged when Jenna posted a dedication message to the cast, crew, and fans of the show, "Wednesday," in which she stars. The first video on her post showed her sitting in her co-star Hunter Doohan's lap, embracing and twirling on a chair.
Under the post, Doohan commented, "Let's twirl forever." The physical proximity of the actors made some furious and defensive, as seen in the comments below the post. Statements such as "DON'T TOUCH HER" and "BACK OF SHE IS MINE (sic)" show how some fans thought she was taken.
However, one thing is for sure: Ortega and Doohan are not in any romantic relationship. They may be good friends, but it is nothing more than that. This is primarily because Doohan is gay and is already married to his partner, Fielder Jewett. Ortega did not even bother addressing the comment section on her post.
Jenna Ortega Denied Dating Rumors
The thought of Ortega being in a relationship with Doohan may have been far-fetched. However, the actress has been linked to two other young celebrities, and speculators had a stronger case on those occasions. The first rumor popped up after Ortega was frequently seen with actor Asher Angel.
The duo would go on what some people thought were dates. For example, on Halloween in 2018, they were spotted dressed up as Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson at Universal Horror Nights. They showed up at a fashion show and appeared on the red carpet together, which only fuelled the rumors.
Before Angel, a similar rumor circulated after Ortega reportedly got cozy with Jacob Sartorius while spending time together in New York. However, it was later revealed that it was all for Sartorius' music video for "Chapstick." Therefore, as with Angel, there was nothing more to it.
Jenna Is Afraid of Losing Those She Loves
One of the things Jenna Ortega is most afraid of is losing a loved one. Maybe that is why she has not rushed into romantic relationships, as it increases her chances of losing loved ones, especially through breakups.
In a recent interview, the actress admitted being very paranoid and said she ends every phone call with loved ones by restating her love. Listing her fears, she added:
"Abandonment. Never finding real love. I’m not really scared of death or anything like that... my biggest fear is losing someone very close to me. Every time I end a phone call with someone I love, I have to say 'I love you,' I have to text them and make sure they’re OK and safe. That's a really big fear of mine."
Ultimately, it isn't easy to know if Ortega has been in any relationships before due to her determination to keep her private life away from the public eye as possible. Speaking about her social media platforms, she declared that she only considers them business platforms because she doesn't want everyone involved in her life.
Regarding boyfriends, she has confirmed that she has not been involved with any of the rumored boyfriends so far. When asked what the craziest thing she had seen online about herself was, her response was, "Probably relationships. According to the internet, I dated like six guys, [but I] dated none of them."
