Teresa Barrick Left Steven Tyler for a Much Younger Man
Teresa Barrick was ten years younger than her ex-husband, Steven Tyler. The fashion designer met him while his first marriage was on the rocks, so after their union was dissolved, Barrick and Tyler started their future together.
Teresa Barrick and Steven Tyler were quite the mischievous young couple growing up. She met the legendary musician through her twin sister, Lisa Barrick, while he was married; however, that didn't stop their romance from growing.
In Tyler's 2008 biography, Barrick is described as his savior. He had been knee-deep in substance abuse, and his health had deteriorated badly enough that he could barely care for himself. When Barrick entered his life, however, his loved ones and close friends hoped her presence would encourage him to sober up.
Barrick's relationship with Tyler continued flourishing while his marriage worsened. Eventually, he divorced, and that gave way for him and Barrick to begin their union. Tyler was already a father to two daughters before welcoming his third baby girl and a son with his second ex-wife.
Barrick was incredibly devoted to Tyler, but the Aerosmith frontman wasn't always faithful. Although he justified his cheating tendencies as a rockstar, he was still upset when she decided to leave him and even dedicated a song to her following their divorce.

Steven First Liked Teresa Barrick's Sister
Lisa Barrick dated Tyler's former drug merchant named Brimstone. When Brimstone brought her to meet with the famous vocalist, Tyler immediately wanted her to himself. However, when she showed disinterest in his efforts to woo her, he asked:
"Are there any more like you at home?"
That's when Lisa revealed she had an identical twin, Teresa, who worked at a restaurant that served gourmet meals. Tyler was enamored with Teresa, and so was she with him. Their romance sparked immediately, and pretty soon, they couldn't have enough of each other.

However, that wasn't the first time they had encountered each other. They had met when Barrick was a teenager hanging out at clubs in Lahaina in Maui, Hawaii, but Tyler hadn't taken an interest at the time.
Still, Barrick never forgot about him, and they often spent time in the same areas. She was from the American Midwest, and although one of her first jobs was serving in a restaurant, Barrick eventually became a fashion designer.
Teresa Barrick Began a Relationship with Steven When He Was Married
Steven Tyler was married to a woman named Cyrinda Foxe when he met Barrick. Their marriage had been tumultuous, and by the time Barrick had entered the picture, their fights were "horrendous," as the singer recalled. They were both battling addiction, but Tyler eventually pursued sobriety.

Once he achieved sobriety, he confessed in his biography that he became all the more promiscuous.
That decision significantly changed their dynamic because Foxe hadn't stopped doing drugs; however, it wasn't the last straw. One day, Tyler took Barrick and her sister out for dinner to a quirky restaurant called Twins on the Eastside, where only twins dined.
A fan noticed Tyler spending time with the identical sisters, and the outing soon made headlines. After Foxe heard of it, she sued Tyler for divorce, and his memory of that evening was ruined. Tyler and Foxe had been married for 12 years before their divorce was finalized in 1987.

Teresa Was Shocked by the News of Steven's Infidelity
Barrick and Tyler married on May 28, 1988, in Oklahoma, about a year after his divorce. The following month, Barrick fell pregnant with their first child. They welcomed their daughter Chelsea Anna Tallarico on March 6, 1989.
Their second child, son Taj Monroe Tallarico, drew his first breath on January 31, 1991. Shortly before Taj was born, his family had gone through quite a scare when their house in Marshfield, Massachusetts, caught on fire.
Tyler, working out in his barn then, quickly came to their aid and pulled Chelsea and their family cat out. Barrick was there too, but she couldn't have carried them down the emergency ladder since she was still eight months pregnant.

Barrick supported her husband while he got sober. The father of four – also to Mia and Liv Tyler – underwent a psychological evaluation as part of his rehabilitation. Once he achieved sobriety, he confessed in his biography that he became all the more promiscuous.
Barrick may have remained largely unaware of her ex-husband's infidelities; that was until his former manager, Tim Collins, intervened. Collins went behind Tyler's back and told Barrick about his cheating. He also accused the frontman of relapsing.
Barrick, completely taken aback by the heartbreaking news and crying frantically, received a call from her then-husband. She revealed to Tyler that Tim told her of his cheating and accused him of relapsing. Tyler was livid about Collins's unwanted intervention, and two months later, the manager was fired.

Tyler felt justified in his cheating, but he acknowledged the pain he caused Barrick, and for that, he was regretful. They separated on February 20, 2005, and announced their split publicly. The media speculated on the cause, with the pair having been together for nearly 20 years, but Barrick and Tyler kept their matters private.
Teresa Left Stephen after 17 Years of Marriage
Tyler felt his infidelities were bound to occur since he was a rockstar. As women threw themselves at the singer, he felt inclined to oblige. When Barrick decided to leave him, Tyler was upset that she didn't stay and tried to fix their relationship. And yet, when she left, he became more sexually active.
By January 2006, their marriage was officially dissolved. Barrick moved on with a man younger than her, who happened to be part of the team that built Tyler's house. He admitted that he didn't know why she chose that particular guy.

Stephen Wrote 2 Songs Related to Teresa
The first one, "Push Comes to Shove," was inspired by his desire to simultaneously be intimate with his second ex-wife and her twin. In his biography, Tyler said he sang it like Tom Waits. The second was titled "Hole in my Soul" and was inspired by his heartache about the end of his marriage.
Teresa Barrick Is Already a Grandmother
Her daughter, Chelsea Tyler, followed in her dad's footsteps and became a musician. She and her husband, Jon Foster, are the musical duo Kane Holler, and they have a daughter named Isabella Rae Foster and a son, Vincent Frank Foster. Barrick's son, Taj, mainly leads a private life, but he married in 2018.
