Kevin Owens' Wife Is Karina Steen and They Have Son and Daughter Together
Although having a husband in the entertainment industry can be difficult, Karina Steen has supported Kevin Owens' career. The professional wrestler praised his wife for being their family's backbone and keeping their kids grounded when he is busy at work.
Karina Steen is one of the biggest reasons her husband, Kevin Owens, has a successful career as a WWE professional wrestler.
Born Kevin Yanick Steen, Owens hails from Quebec, Canada, and is famously known for appearing in the WWE franchise, including "WWE Smackdown!," "WWE Raw," and "WWE NXT."
Owens' career in the industry has undoubtedly flourished in the past years, but his greatest success is being Steen's husband. According to the entertainer, Steen changed his perspective on life and encouraged him to pursue the career he always wanted.
He married Steen in 2007, and they share two beautiful children. Although it has been over a decade, Steen still makes her husband feel like the luckiest guy on the planet. "I wouldn't be who I am or where I am now without her love and support," he said in a now-deleted post.
Kevin Owens Called Karina Steen a Supportive Wife
Admittedly, Owens agreed that his family could be a source of conflict and motivation in his wrestling career. Being away from his loved ones is no easy feat, but he also knows that the sacrifices he makes today are for his family's future.
He also credited his wife for being supportive throughout his career. It was a team effort that allowed Owens to succeed in the industry. He said:
"[Steen is] the backbone of our family, and since the moment we met, [she] knew how passionate I was about this."
Fortunately, when he joined "WWE NXT," being with Steen more often than not was possible. After signing with WWE, Owens, Steen, and their kids moved to Orlando, Florida, allowing more time together.
The Couple Has a Daughter and a Son
Owens and Steen became first-time parents when they welcomed their son, Owen. Although still young, their boy has shown great interest in wrestling and is a big fan of John Cena.
At one point, Owen kept asking his father when the match between Owens and Cena would be. There was also a time when Owen came to a WWE show but did not get a greeting from Cena.
Upon finding out, "The Marine" star wrote a handwritten apology letter to the young boy for failing to greet him in person. "As a father, my crowning moment now is that moment when I got to see my son interact with John for the first time," Owens later said, as reported by Heavy.
Owens and Steen also share a daughter, Elodie, who is slowly being introduced to wrestling. In 2017, Elodie's dad posted a video of her playing with WWE toys under her parents' supervision. Owens may have a tough character on screen and in front of fans, but when it comes to his wife and kids, he is gentle and sweet.
There have been other WWE stars who maintained successful careers while becoming parents. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson once had his time of fame in the wrestling scene while enjoying fatherhood with his kids.
Johnson became a first-time father when he welcomed Simone Alexandra during his first marriage. He became a father for the second time in 2015 after having a daughter, Jasmine Lia, with his partner, Lauren Hashian. The couple had another child in 2018, Tiana Gia.
In recent years, Johnson has focused on building his acting career. He has starred in several hit films, including "Jumanji," "Red Notice," and "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw."
