Ben Lawson's dating life is filled with mystery, and the "Firefly Lane" star's recent relationships have been on the lips of many. The actor once discussed his three-year relationship with his most recent ex-girlfriend, who he dated after an alleged relationship with an Australian actress.

Ben Lawson is widely recognized for his role as Johnny Ryan, the husband of Kate Mularkey, a leading character played by Sarah Chalke, in the Netflix series, "Firefly Lane," now in its second season. The heated relationships between Ben Lawson and two of the female characters in the show are a hot topic.

Like the Netflix series' plot, Lawson has been associated with two different women in recent years, the most recent lasting three years. The previous relationship was with an Australian actress who never hesitated to reveal that she was over what they had. Now, the real question is whether the 42-year-old is married.

Ben Lawson Once Shared the Story of His First Serious Relationship

Lawson had his first encounter with romance in Kindergarten; he was reminded of this by his mother, his family's reigning games champion. She recalled the time the "Firefly Lane" star kissed a girl named Jacqui Cuthbert beside his school sports shed.

Ben Lawson's first serious relationship was with a girl named Melissa, a colleague from when he worked at a restaurant in Brisbane. Melissa later resigned and moved to London for an article clerkship opportunity. After eight months of back-and-forth e-mailing, Lawson followed; his stay lasted four months before returning to Australia.

The "Firefly Lane" star felt a noticeable change in their relationship when she returned. He explained that he was accepted into NIDA when he returned from London. He adds that when she returned, it became apparent that their spark was lost. Today, Melissa is a mother of a couple of kids. Lawson mentioned that he still sends her emails on her birthday.

Ben Lawson's Last Known Romance Ended In 2019

Lawson's most recent girlfriend was a Hawaiian girl named Maile Mildrexler. The actor met Mildrexler in Portland, Oregon, in 2016 while making "Grimm." When she lost her home due to her landlord putting the property up for sale, Lawson opened the doors of his Los Angeles home to accommodate the Hawaiian.

However, in 2019, they separated, and the actor spoke highly of the type of heart and mind she has. He said they still talk all the time and that he considers Maile the mother of his dog, Mochi. Lawson has even spent time with her new boyfriend, proving that their bond transcends the relationship.

Before his three-year relationship with Mildrexler, it was reported that Lawson had a fling with Harriet Dyer. They never confirmed their relationship; however, in 2015, while on her way into the AACTA Awards ceremony, Mildrexler was asked about her relationship with the fellow Australian actor, and her response confirmed that things were over.

Ben Lawson Seems Not to Have Found the Love of His Life, Yet

Lawson has not been getting any joy from dating in Los Angeles. The 42-year-old expressed total disappointment in his experiences while pursuing love.

To clarify his stance on dating in Los Angeles, Lawson stated that he found it horrible from the time he arrived. The actor has not given up on Love but feels misunderstood and much happier on his own.

Hollywood stars always have interesting turns in their romantic lives. Actor Ben Barnes has somewhat of a catalog of ex-girlfriends and remains single, like Lawson.

When asked about sharing his "What I Know About Women" interview on his Instagram story with the caption "Should be a short piece," Lawson mentioned that he was never actually looking for a partner. He clarified:

"When you move to L.A. and want to be an actor, it takes a lot of energy to chase that dream…as long as it takes, really. That's a deeper question than we can probably get into now. I am looking for someone to hang out with and watch Netflix shows and not argue too much. That would be fun."

This shows that Lawson is not entirely ruling out his desire to find love.
