"Kids Put a New Piece of Your Heart"

William and Stacey share two children, a 13-year-old and a 9-year-old. While speaking to CBR about how much being a parent has inspired his acting performance in "Cobra Kai," he noted:

"You have a parental heart when you have kids that puts a new piece of your heart in there. You definitely apply that in the work and with these actors and one of my favorite scenes I did with Xolo in the burger joint not being able to be there for Robbie."

William began his career as a child actor, starring in the 1984 "Karate Kid," a film that has since developed a cult following among movie lovers. A remake of the film was released in 2010, starring a Hollywood big name, Jackie Chan, and a young Jaden Smith, whose parents Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, also produced the film.

Keeping His Real Family Private, He Is Open about His Character's Numerous Love Interests

Despite keeping a tight lip on his personal life and relationship with his wife, he does not shy away from speaking about his character's multiple love interests from his time on Netflix's "Cobra Kai."

"Cobra Kai" had its first season in 2018, and its storyline depicts a period 33 years after the events of "Karate Kid." In the series, William reprises his role as Johnny Lawrence, a down-and-out character seeking to rebuild his life by reestablishing the Cobra Kai dojo.

Back to his on-screen romantic relationship, one of the occasions was during an interview with USA Today when William spoke about his love interests Dr. Ali Mills Schwarber, played by Elizabeth Sue, and Carmen Diaz, portrayed by Vanessa Rubio.

Schwarber, Johnny's high school sweetheart, comes back into his life in the final two episodes of season three. The recent divorcee seems to be looking to get back with Johnny, but she ends up helping him realize that he is in love with Carmen and that's who he should be with. That's a scenario William agrees with.

He also noted that Ali and Johnny would continue as friends, saying, "At the same time, she is strong and gets Johnny. They were great friends, and they'll be there forever. And I love that she was big enough to cut Johnny loose."
