Finley Aaron Love Lockwood, Lisa Marie Presley's daughter, largely remained outside the limelight throughout her life. The youngster occasionally appeared on her mom's Instagram, sharing sweet moments with the late singer.

An October 2018 post indicated a strong and loving bond among the Presley ladies as they prepared to attend a "special event" together. Finley and her sisters, Riley and Harper, posed alongside their mom in front of a dressing table full of makeup products.

Lisa had affectionately referred to her daughters as her "loves" in her caption, alongside the short thread of mirror selfies. That same year, on Christmas Eve, Lisa shared another lovely family photo of Finley, Harper, Riley, and herself, smiling up at the camera.

They had taken the picture after enjoying the "Nutcracker" ballet, as Lisa revealed, truly feeling the Christmas spirit and referring to Finley and her siblings as her "fave people in the world."

Finley Aaron Love Lockwood Had Been Mom's Blessing Late into Her Life

Finley drew their first breath in October 2008, born through C-section to a then-40-year-old Lisa and her ex-husband, Michael Lockwood, who was 46 at the time. She had previously been married to Danny Keough, Michael Jackson, and Nicolas Cage.

While she still carried Finley and her twin, Lisa wanted to keep the pregnancy private. However, she felt forced to reveal the good news on her MySpace page after a tabloid attacked her weight in March of 2008.

During an interview, Finley's mom spoke a little about her parenting style, saying she compartmentalized her life. The "ferociously protective" mom of four explained that she kept her celebrity and family lives separate.

Lisa also kept Finley and her siblings "very close" and grew anxious if they were too far away from her, including Riley and her late son Benjamin. Though she ensured they had their own rooms wherever she went, she mostly preferred being in one room with them as much as possible.

Finley Aaron Love Lockwood & Her Siblings Were Late Mom's Strength Amid Tragedy

Finley's older brother, Benjamin Keough, died by suicide in 2020. It was an incredibly devastating loss for the family, as Benjamin had loved and adored his sisters and was protective of them.

Lisa especially struggled with Benjamin's death, and his dad moved back in with her afterward. Honoring National Grief Awareness Day, she penned an essay detailing how difficult it was to navigate her grief. Her daughters gave her strength to keep going, as she said:

"It's a real choice to keep going, one that I have to make every single day and one that is constantly challenging to say the least ... But I keep going for my girls."

The Death of Finley Aaron Love Lockwood's Mom Opens up a Possibility for Custody Battle

Finley's parents officially divorced in 2021, and her dad remarried celebrity hair and makeup artist Stephanie Hobgood. Despite her parents' separation, Finley and her sister remained on good terms with Michael as the girls attended his and Stephanie's wedding last October.

Sadly, their mom passed away due to cardiac arrest earlier this month. Although the loss brought much heartbreak, outlets speculate that the storm isn't yet over, especially for Finley and Harper, with a looming custody battle between multiple family members.

According to California state law, Michael may automatically receive full custody of the twins unless a judge deems him an unfit parent. However, although it has yet to be confirmed, Danny, Riley, or their grandmother, Priscilla Presley, may fight him in court for Finley and Harper's custody.
