Young Dolph's life was an open book. He didn't shy away from sharing his love life with the public. The rapper shared two kids with his longtime girlfriend, Mia Jaye. The two welcomed their first child, Tre, on June 2014 and their daughter Aria Ella Thornton in February 2017.

Based on Jaye's social media page, she kept her first pregnancy a secret until Tre was born. However, when she was pregnant with Aria, she announced the good news to her fans on Instagram. In the post, she shared a photo of her holding an ultrasound scan picture of little Ari growing inside her womb and captioned it:

"Ha! Tré isn't liking that he won't be the baby anymore... But what he doesn't know is that he will forever be my little baby."

Jaye's Instagram posts showed that young Dolph was a loving partner and devoted father. Even though he had a demanding career, he always found time for his family.

Dolph met his untimely death on a Wednesday afternoon while on a snack run. According to reports, the rapper was fatally shot at Makeda's Cookies and left for dead. The 8-year-old also highlighted some of the key life lessons he had learned from Dolph. He said his father had taught him to be a great man. Tre and his sister shared some of the best moments with their dad when he was still alive.

When Tre turned eight years, he told his mother that he wanted to honor his father by creating his own #BlackMenDeserveToGrowOld shirt and his mother kept his wishes. After letting Tre be part of the process, Jaye said that she had noticed his talents and that he was destined for greatness.
