When Darrien asked the boy why he visited so frequently, his answer left her stunned. He wanted to make sure Grandma Wilma woke up from all her naps. The granddaughter was immensely thankful for the child's presence in their lives, expressing:

"We haven't met her yet, but she's 75 years old, and she needs some help mowing. That's the least we could do."

The Reynolds brothers said they would mow the woman's lawn as often as necessary to ensure she did not have to go to court. Their gesture was one of a kind, and it left the senior citizen in awe. The woman expressed:

The kind gesture was caught on camera, and it made his father, Ken Ingersoll, proud of him. The family knew the old man who was caught in the bad weather. They were happy they could help.

Ken was grateful for his good-hearted son, but he was surprised by the online reaction he got. Regardless, he was glad something positive was going viral. He said:

Five teenagers from Caldwell, Idaho, were called "hometown heroes" after helping an elderly man in a desperate situation. They were on their way to play basketball when they witnessed him fall.

When they saw the man trip on the sidewalk, the boys immediately stopped their car. They rushed to the rescue and got him back on his feet before escorting him to one of their homes. The group then cleaned the man's wounds and settled his nerves.

She sang their praises online, and the teens received lots of applause. However, they clarified that they acted out of love and not for attention. One of the boys, Isaac Hernandez, said:

"We just did it out of the kindness of our hearts. I think it makes us all feel good because we are out here helping other people … and we don’t expect anything in return."

Throughout the ordeal, the teens got to know the old man better. His name was Jose Garcia, a veteran. They promised to visit the elderly man in the future. What selfless and kind boys!
