Christopher Harvest Was a Singer & Had a Short Marriage to Vivica A Fox

Christopher Harvest almost became a known singer, but his career ended when Tupac passed away. His ex-wife, Vivica A. Fox, became the breadwinner of their family until they divorced.

Christopher Harvest was Vivica A. Fox's husband for four years, from 1998 to 2002. However, the actress claimed they were only together for two and a half years.

Admittedly, Fox wanted to make her wedding dreams come true and rushed into saying "I do" to her ex-husband. Harvest, a singer at that time, also committed to Fox abruptly, which began their married life on the wrong foot.

Christopher Harvest's Career Ended before It Even Started

Harvest was an aspiring singer, performing as a group member. His big break came when his group was signed to Tupac's label, Deathrow Records. Tupac, whose siblings were also in the entertainment industry, was among the most influential rappers of his time.

During their short-lived marriage, the couple was often spotted together during red-carpet events, including the 1998 MTV Movie Awards and the 2000 Essence Awards.

But before they could debut, their career ended with Tupac's demise. According to Harvest's ex-wife, he did not work to recover what was lost in his career. Harvest gave up his dream of becoming a musician.

Christopher Harvest's Ex-wife Claimed She Became the Breadwinner in the Relationship

Unfortunately, Harvest did not pursue any other opportunities outside the industry as well. Because of his complacency with being at home and not contributing to the bills, Fox had to step in and be the family's breadwinner. She said:

“A woman doesn’t like paying all the bills all the time. I could only ask for help so many times before I had to come to the conclusion that I didn’t want to be the breadwinner in this family. My mother didn’t raise me to take care of a man.”

The former couple's situation was one factor that led to their marriage's end. Fortunately, they were on the same page when calling it quits. Another contributing factor to their split was they didn't know each other as well yet before tying the knot.

Christopher Harvest Once Reunited with His Ex-wife

Despite their split, Harvest and Fox's relationship didn't sour. In 2013, the pair reunited at the Soul Train Awards.

The duo sat beside each other, with Fox looking as fashionable as ever in a black lace outfit and a statement necklace. Harvest looked dapper as well in a button-down top, red necktie, and dark sunglasses.

Harvest now lives a private life with not much known about him. However, he has a namesake in the music industry, and people sometimes mistake the rapper for him.

Christopher Harvest is now a father to an adult son and a daughter in high school, whom he often serenades and praises on social media. Although he didn't become a famous singer, Harvest became an amazing father who his children love and look up to.

Meanwhile, Vivica Fox never had children or walked down the aisle again, although she was briefly engaged to Omar "Slim White." In a 2014 interview with Oprah Winfrey, the actress revealed that missing motherhood was one of her biggest regrets.

Still, she has become somewhat of a mother figure to her six godchildren. Fox feels no less fulfilled as a woman because she is not a mother. She knows her career became a priority and gave her a happy life.
