Michael Caine's Daughter Got Six-Month Ban That Might Complicate Care of 89-Year-Old Dad: Details
-
"I love family. It is the best organization there is," caring dad Michael Caine once said about his family.

Now it's time for his daughter to take care of her father. However, she received an injunction, making things much more complicated.
Michael Caine may have one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood. The actor has a career that spans decades and a list of movies to his name too vast to mention. He's known for his distinctive accent, and in his old age, he has taken to playing wise, patient mentor figures.
But his fatherly persona isn't too far from the truth. Off-screen, Michael is the father of two daughters, Dominique Caine and Natasha Caine. The actor had his oldest daughter with his first wife, Patricia Haines, in 1956. Unfortunately, Dominique's mother passed away in 1977.

Michael married for a second time in 1973 to the lovely Shakira Caine (formerly Baksh), and the pair welcomed a daughter the same year. The "Batman" star has opened up about being a parent and said it might just be the best thing in the world. He loves his daughters, and he also boasted that he's an excellent dad:
"I love family. It is the best organization there is, and I'm a great father ... I think I'm the best father in the world. I have always put my children first. I never spoiled them, but I was there for them."

He did his utmost as a dad to raise two intelligent, self-sufficient women, and he believes he has done an outstanding job. Interestingly, neither of his daughters went into acting. His oldest, Dominique, grew up to be a horse farmer, while Natasha is a devoted mother of three.
His Daughter Got an Injunction: She Cannot Care for Her Dad
After Michael's years of looking after his two daughters, he has reached an age where he is the one who needs to be looked after. However, things aren't looking too optimistic for the aged actor, who needs his oldest daughter to help care for him. Just this month, Dominique, unfortunately, had her license revoked.
He prefers to stay in bed and avoid risking any accidents, which means he may be retiring from acting in the near future.

The bad news came after the oldest Caine sibling was caught speeding in the Cotswolds. Although she and her lawyer pleaded with the judge, he didn't give her any leeway and suspended her driving license for six months. Apparently, she already had nine points against her, and the latest infraction pushed it up to twelve.
The injunction came at a steep price, considering Dominique has to help look after her father in London while maintaining her own business. At the same time, she's helping out a woman struggling to keep her eventing business afloat. Nonetheless, the judge insisted that the driving ban does not induce "exceptional hardship."

Now, unable to drive, Dominique will have to make another arrangement. Traveling from her farm to London will amount to a tedious eight-hour journey, not to mention getting around over weekends to help with events. The judge suggested using a taxi or employing the services of a driver.
Grandaddy of 3 Can't Walk Well: He Is Forced to Retire
The 89-year-old Michael needs his daughter's help because his health has been degrading for the last few years. After opening up about a problem with his spine, it seems the actor's impressively long acting streak is, unfortunately, coming to an end.
Michael shared that his spinal problem has been worsening, which has recently affected his ability to walk freely. He prefers to stay in bed and avoid risking any accidents, which means he may be retiring from acting in the near future. However, he's not out of the entertainment business yet.

Michael noted that he has been writing a lot in the last few years, and his books seem to be doing well. Considering his worsening health, he said he may turn to writing instead of acting, since it still gives him the same creative kick without the strain on his body. He commented:
"I'm now not an actor, I'm a writer, which is lovely because as an actor, you have to get up, out by six in the morning and go to the studio. The writer, you just start writing without leaving the bed."

Besides his work, Michael prefers spending as much time with his family as possible. To his joy, Michale is the proud grandfather of three younglings. He adores having his grandkids around, and not his job nor his health problems will stop him from spending his last years with them.
