Preston Pippen is the third of NBA legend Scottie Pippen's sons, born from his father's second marriage to Larsa Pippen. He recently graduated high school, where he played basketball alongside other NBA stars' children.

Preston Pippen's father, Scottie Pippen, found the determination to reach great heights as a basketball champion following his father's death in 1990. He rose to stardom and became well-known for collecting six NBA championships in his career.

Scottie continues to thrive after retirement and released his book "Unguarded" in 2021. He is also dad to seven children, many of whom inherited his athletic genes, including Preston.

Preston was named after his late paternal grandfather, who passed on due to a stroke. Not only did his death inspire Scottie to believe in himself and to take responsibility, but it also encouraged him to be a good father to Preston and his siblings, as he said:

"When I lost my father, it really made me want to be like a father and be like my father. I realized I had to become a more responsible person, and I also realized I could become as good as I wanted to in this game if I put forth the effort."

Preston Also Plays Basketball like His Dad

Preston drew his first breath in Portland, Oregon, on August 26, 2002, two years after his older brother, Scotty Jr. He attended Sierra Canyon High School alongside Shaquille O'Neal's sons, Shareef and Shaqir, and LeBron James' kid LeBron Jr.

The four of them were on the school's basketball team before graduating in 2021, and they all became friends. In 2020, Preston shared photos of himself and Shaqir pictured while they played on the court.

It's unclear when his passion for the sport began, but pictures of him on the court started appearing on his Instagram timeline in 2019. Last year in July, he shared another photo in a basketball arena posing with his dad, his younger brother Justin, and a friend.

Preston maintains a tight bond with his parents but is just as close with his older brother. Scottie Jr also attended Sierra Canyon High and played for the basketball team. He's continuing to pursue the sport in college at Vanderbilt University.

Preston Values His Privacy on Social Media and Doesn't Post Much

Though his social media accounts remained active, Preston didn't reveal much about his life online. He mostly shared pictures on Instagram, including solo photos and many others featuring his family members and friends.

He also had two highlight stories; one contained clips and images of past adventures, while the other was dedicated to what his followers asked him to share. Despite maintaining his relative privacy, Preston amassed a large following. His Instagram follower count stood at over 57K at the time of this writing.

He also had a TikTok account, where he could be seen participating in the app's dance challenges with his friends. At the time of publication, Preston had over 6.8K followers and accumulated over 120K likes.

Preston Spending Time with Family

Preston was spotted heading for a family dinner with his mom in May last year. His younger siblings, Justin and Sophia—whose godmother is the mom of four TV personality Kim Kardashian—also joined the two in West Hollywood.

The sighting came several months after Preston's parents finalized their divorce in 2021. They initially separated in 2016 but decided to try and make things work the following year. Unfortunately, the reconciliation didn't last, and they split for good in 2018.

During an episode of "The Real Housewives of Miami," aired in February 2022, Larsa accused Scottie of controlling and "punishing." Her observation of the said behavior came after he told her that Sophia would have to return to Miami when she tried to sell her Miami home.

Larsa claimed that statement left her "traumatized" but also remarked that Scottie was jealous of her relationship with a younger man. The year they divorced, she dated NBA Utah Jazz player Malik Beasley.
