Quinn noted that she was convinced of the flaws in their dress code when A.J. wore the same type of clothes, a red shirt and baggy-leg jeans, every time they went out. Despite not being impressed by his fashion statements, she chose to stay. The interior designer commented on that situation, saying:

"A.J. had terrible fashion when I met him. He will tell you himself. He wore the same red fleece shirt with big, baggy wide-leg jeans every time we went anywhere. But A.J.'s really come into his own with fashion. He's come further than I thought he would. He wears skinny jeans."

They Planned to Have a Lavish Wedding but Changed Their Plans

In early 2006, A.J. and Quinn were preparing to host a brilliant wedding, with several star guests expected to attend the momentous occasion. However, as the wedding date approached, it wasn't coming fast enough for the couple to be husband and wife before A.J. signed his new contract.

Quinn had to be A.J.'s wife by the time he signed the new contract for her to enjoy the benefits of the NFL. With that in mind, they decided to move the wedding to an earlier date to cover the contract situation. The wedding had no guests and took place at their lawyer's offices.

A source told Deadspin the special occasion was moved up because "it's simply to facilitate a better financial situation by allowing Laura to be insured and have the rest of her education paid for by the NFL when A.J. signs his contract."

Eventually, the glorified wedding had its day under the sun but ended in an unfortunate matter. After the wedding, their photos were allegedly published online without agreement. A.J. seemed disappointed by the perceived invasion of privacy.

Although the family was in the limelight for a long time during A.J.'s eleven seasons in the NFL, where he won the Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers alongside quarterback Aaron Rodgers, they have generally kept their personal lives out of the public gaze.
