Elly Castle Became a Mom at 15 - More about John Schneider’s Ex-wife
John Schneider's ex-wife is also his one-time co-star in a 2006 family comedy. They welcomed one child, and John adopted two of her children when they married in the early 1990s.
When John Schneider divorced his first wife, Tawny Little, in March 1986, he went on to spend seven years out of wedlock before marrying this article's protagonist, Elly Castle, on July 11, 1993. They welcomed one child, daughter Leah Michelle Castle who joined Chasen Joseph Schneider, and Karis Schneider, from Elly's previous relationship.
Elly met John at a church picnic when she was 26 years old; at the time, her husband was 39. Their wedding occurred in Studio City while Elly was still a student. They remained together until 2019, when they finalized a divorce after 21 years of marriage and five years of legal combat.

Elly Castle Put Up Her First Daughter for Adoption
At 15, Elly became a mother for the first time. Unable to deal with the newborn, she decidedly gave up her daughter, Mandy Castle, for adoption. They did not see each other for the 21 years that followed; however, when they reunited in the 21st year since Mandy's birth, Elly discovered that she was a grandmother.
Mandy is married and lives with her husband in Atlanta. She is an avid fan of the baseball team Atlanta Braves. She shares many of her interests — mainly sports-orientated — on her Twitter account. She is also a supporter of the Kentucky Christian University Football team.
Elly is a grandmother of two, as her daughter welcomed a son and daughter in that order. Her daughter Bylee Ford lives in Lexington and plays Volleyball, and her son plays football for the UFC Knights. Mandy is proud of her children and mentioned in a tweet that there are times when she is thankful that her daughter has an older brother.
Elly Castle Was an Actress Though Her Ex-Husband Insisted She Stopped Working after They Wed
Elly is not only the ex-wife of a famous actor but has also made an appearance in a film herself. She starred alongside John in the 2006 family comedy, "Collier & Co." According to IMDb ratings, the film was not received exceptionally well, scoring 4.5 out of a possible 10. Elly did not continue to thrive in Hollywood, as she gave up her career in the early stages.
According to her ex-husband, Elly did not work throughout their marriage, and he felt it was unfair for him to pay her $19,000 every month in alimony. He considered her demands to be an injustice towards him, and he refused to not do anything about it. Since their split, Elly's ex-husband complains that their three children refuse to talk to him.
Schneider's movie studio was destroyed in a Louisiana flood in 2016, and his financial struggles led him to complain about her demands. "She feels like she's entitled to it, and she doesn't work, and she hasn't worked since we got married, and there is a group, I guess, out there that says, 'Well, she gave up a career to become a housewife.' Well, no, we had nannies," he said.
