Debbie Gibson Has Not Married & Loves Her Solo Life

Debbie Gibson began her music career in the 1980s and is famous for her hit songs. For over three decades, the 52-year-old has proven she is an entertainer of immeasurable talent. Even so, fans want to know more about her love life and whether Debbie Gibson has a husband.

Gibson was among the most famous teen pop stars in the 80s. At 17, the talented singer had already won many teenagers' hearts with her music. At the time, most of her songs revolved around adolescent love. Today, Gibson lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, with her three dachshunds.

Gibson also enjoys being an aunt to her nephews and nieces. While most singers in her era settled down and had families, Gibson seems to enjoy her own company and has no plans of settling down soon.

Since Debbie Giibson's relationship ended in 2019 after investing in it for ten years, the talented singer said she enjoys her single life because it's joyous, uncomplicated, and free.

She's Going to Have to Wait to Date 'Til She's 65

While Gibson might be single, she seems to enjoy her own company, and aside from that, she has three guys who keep her company—her dachshunds, Levi, Joey, and Trouper. Gibson revealed that she is taking a break from dating 'til she's 65 because her dogs won't let anybody near her.

Gibson admitted she felt lucky to have protective parents who supported her throughout her musical journey.

The "Lost in Your Eyes" singer jokingly added that her dogs are overprotective and consider her their mom. Though she enjoys her single life, Gibson revealed she is open to finding love but doesn't feel any pressure of dating someone.

While speaking to People in 2021, Gibson stated that she enjoys being solo in her 50s and doesn't feel incomplete. The singer, who rose to fame in 1987 with her first album, "Out of the Blue," said her music career put her love life on hold.

Gibson Had Adult-Life When She Was Only 17

Gibson began living an adult life when still a teenager. After rising to fame at 17, her stardom came with many responsibilities. She admitted she had a different life than her age mates at the time. At such a young age, Gibson began experiencing adult pressures.

While her age mates were going to college, she employed hundreds of people. Aside from that, she learned how to cook and do her laundry in her 20s. Though she enjoyed the privileges that come with fame, Gibson admitted that her life was out of order back then.

While her life in the spotlight seemed picture-perfect, Gibson's personal life was far from perfect. With so much on her plate at a young age, Gibson's love life took a back sweat. Even though she pictured being married, things didn't go as planned.

Her Mom Prevent Her Life From Any "Drama"

Gibson, who got introduced to the spotlight at a young age, said she thanked her parents for being supportive and protective. Though her mom died in 2022, Gibson said she went above and beyond to ensure nobody caused her any harm.

The singer, whom her mother managed in the 80s, jokingly stated that her mom was protective and would always shield her from unnecessary drama. Gibson admitted she felt lucky to have protective parents who supported her throughout her musical journey.

Instead, they looked out for her when she began her career in the entertainment industry and didn't use her for fame or money. Gibson considers her parents her number one fan and has a great relationship with her father. Gibson is among singers who rose to fame in the 1980s; others include Madonna, Whitney Houston, and George Michael.
