Unlike his brother, Khalid leads a largely private life. He owns an Instagram account that hosts 38 posts as of this writing; however, the account does not reveal details about his life. His social media content is centered on his international travels and vacations, combined with pictures of himself.

At the end of December 2019, Khalid reflected on his growth over the years and confirmed that his mother projected everything that was unfolding in his life. Khalil spoke about how he was no longer the same person he was growing up and added that, in hindsight, he understood why he felt uncomfortable trying to live up to people's expectations.

Khalil does not let his private lifestyle keep him from appearing at public events. In 2017, he attended the Lupus LA MBJAM with his family. On January 26, 2020, he attended the Sundance Film festival at Temple Theater and made his presence felt two years later at a Key TV Launch party at The Millwick in Los Angeles.
