Kendra Scott's journey in building an irrefutable business pedigree is a story of many challenges. She invested $500 and witnessed astronomical growth in her business after a decade without compromising her parental obligations.

Her husband, Thomas Evans, works for one of America's most popular insurance companies. Kendra and Thomas both welcomed three children before they married in 2022. They are now living as a big blended family in Texas.

Kenda Married Her Best Friend

Kendra spends a lot of time with her husband and children and usually shares pictures from their exciting family trips. In December 2022, she shared a photo with her family dressed in pieces of denim and cowboy hats and highlighted in the comments that it was her eldest child, Cade Scott.

The "Shark Tank" star celebrates her husband and their love. Later, in December last year, she shared a photo of herself with Thomas, and the caption reads, "Me and my cowboy walking in to watch tonight's episode of Yellowstone!" The show referenced in the caption, "Yellowstone," stars Kevin Costner, a proud parent of seven.

Using photos, Kendra showed her love for her husband on his birthday in January. The images included snaps from safari drives, a family trip to Disney Land, and photographs showing their passion for animals with a caption expressing appreciation for Thomas on behalf of herself and their children.

Their wedding in 2022 was a cowboy-themed affair, with cowboy hats all around. Kendra shared some photos from their big day a few months later in April, as did the ceremony's photographer. Kendra's post had a meaningful caption encapsulating the feeling of merging two families into one. A portion of the caption reads:

"I married my best friend and the love of my life. I gained another son and two daughters and couldn't be more excited to blend our two beautiful families together."

Kendra's Hubby Prefers Privacy

Kendra is a public personality who prefers to keep her private life a mystery. Although she shares many of her favorite moments with Thomas, she does not disclose too much bout him, to the point that she does not tag him on social media. Yet, with some investigative journalism, HITC found some information about her husband.

His Facebook page reveals a bit about his life story. Thomas attended and attained his education at Crockett High School before studying Forms of Government at The University of Texas at Austin. Thomas was assigned the Area Vice President role at Arthur J. Gallagher in 2002, and he holds this position to date.

Career aside, Thomas is a family man and a father of a son and two daughters from a previous romance. He often shares pictures of his children on Facebook and displays his love for animals, particularly horses. He spends a lot of time enjoying nature, like songster Donnie Wahlberg, and tripping across the continent.

Kendra Wanted to Be a Mom and in Business at the Same Time

Kendra is an entrepreneur and has seen massive success through the progression of her business. She is the Founder, Executive Chairwoman, and Chief Creative Officer at Kendra Scott LLC, a lifestyle and jewelry empire. Kendra started the business because she noticed a shortage of affordable, unique, semi-precious stoned jewelry.

Kendra's early inspiration came from her aunt, a fashion director in a department store. She took the leap in 2002 and invested $500 in her jewelry business, and faced the daunting task of selling her products in person.

She had The Hat Box for five years before it closed. The realization that she had to diversify and sell more than just hats to grow her business, led to Kendra introducing a jewelry line, which she displayed by the register in her shop.

Requests for jewelry continued after The Hat Box closed, and so accompanied by her son Cade, only months old at the time, and samples in hand, Kendra went from store to store with samples.

Out of the extra bedroom in her house, Kendra started building her empire as she wanted to be more present with Cade, who was born on November 11, 2002. When her second child Beck Scott was born almost three years after Cade, she faced difficulty in her business but gained strength from the women who worked with her.

Kendra's Father-In-Law Supported Her Business

As her business progressed, Kendra felt that using her profits to buy more stock was not giving her the desired results. So with her then-father-in-law's help, she got a credit line that boosted her buying power, enabling her to make and sell more products.

While the financial markets crashed during the recession, Kendra took a leap of faith and opened a retail store. Much to the surprise of suffering business owners, she attained enormous success and doubled her previous revenue. Within a few years, her business was worth a billion with the help of some investors.

The great recession was a tough time in the United States, but the effects were felt worldwide. Even in England, singer Ed Sheeran's parents experienced severe difficulty maintaining their family. Still, they managed to provide him with the support he needed. At the same time, Kendra in the US did not fold in the face of adversity and used it as an opportunity to excel.

Kendra spoke about how family, fashion, and philanthropy were the backbone of her business and how that influenced every business decision. She asserted that core pillars are essential as that's how you pick your colleagues. She concluded with a motivational valedictory:

"There is a point when you have to say, 'I believe in this, I am in, I am a hundred percent committed to seeing the success of this company happen.' If you're passionate, if you're driven, if this is what makes you happy, then go for it all the way, and don't let anyone tell you that you have to do it a certain way because I'm living proof that you don't."

The fashion designer is a source of inspiration for women and men worldwide as she expanded a little hat business into a billion-dollar jewelry brand. She is an example of how using commitment can turn a little into a lot and a frown into a smile by finding love after divorcing her second husband, Matt Davis, in 2020.
