Jordan Mailata met his future wife, Niki Ikahihifo-Bender, in 2018 at the Reading Terminal Market. Four years later, they returned to where they first crossed paths and got engaged.
Although no announcement was made about their wedding date, the football player's fans can't wait to see the athlete watch his bride walk down the aisle.
Niki shared news of their engagement on Instagram in May 2022. She posted a beautiful photo showing her fiance on one knee in the middle of a well-decorated market. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you," she said.

After attending Mary Baldwin University, Niki received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from New York University. She then pursued a Master's degree in Psychology at Duke University Graduate School and studied Law at Duke University School of Law.
While receiving her postgraduate education, she interned at Lane Powell PC and BP. In 2016, after her studies, she became an Associate at Norton Rose Fulbright, New York.
After over two years, she moved to Philadelphia to become an associate at Ballard Spahr LLP. According to her LinkedIn profile, Niki's professional title is Intellectual Property Associate.

Besides her career, Niki is also a family-oriented woman and a supportive sister to her younger sibling, Jade Ikahihifo-Bender. In 2017, Niki's sister graduated high school with two years of college credit. She was also her class valedictorian.
Since becoming Niki's boyfriend, Mailata grabbed the opportunity to get to know Jade as well. She has posted several photos with her soon-to-be brother-in-law during football events.
Niki could not contain her pride and shared a sweet photo with Jade on graduation day. She happily described her sister as an intelligent girl in the caption. The two siblings appear to have a close relationship and even wore matching Halloween costumes during a previous event.
Just as Niki is supportive of her sister, Jade also supports her. Jade's congratulatory post during her sister's engagement suggested that she and Mailata also share a good bond and that she helped in making the proposal happen. Jade wrote in her caption:

Mailata also doesn't shy away from sharing his love for Niki on Instagram. He previously penned a birthday tribute to her, calling her the "most loving, supportive, and inspiring woman" in his life.
Like Mailata, several NFL stars have built their family, including Marcus Mariota, who tied the knot with his college sweetheart, Kiyomi Cook, in 2021. Mariota and Cook are both athletes and bond over similar interests. They have also supported each other in their careers.
