Pauley Perrette's Marriage to Coyote Shivers Ended with a Lengthy Legal Battle

Perrette's first husband was Coyote Shivers, a Canadian musician and actor. Shivers was the man behind "The Kids in the Hall's" theme song and the guitarist of the rock band Sharkskin. He has appeared in "Hollywood Sex Wars," "Dirty Love," "Girl In," and "Down and Out with the Dolls," among others.

Perrette's claims were strengthened when Shivers' ex-wife, Bebe Buell, came forward with her accounts.

Shivers and Perrette tied the knot in 2000 and had a marriage that lasted four years. Two years later, in 2006, their divorce became official. Unfortunately, their troubles were just about to begin as a lengthy legal battle followed.

Perrette filed a restraining order against her former husband because of his abusive nature during their union. The pair made headlines several times in the years that followed, including news that Shivers posed as a woman on the internet to harass Perrette. They both accused each other of stalking as well.

Shivers attempted to have the court dismiss the restraining order after its legality had been used as a weapon against him. According to Perrette's first husband, her court-ordered protection got him booted from "NCIS," where he worked in the music production department.

He also claimed that his peace and space were compromised after Perrette moved near his Los Angeles neighborhood. Meanwhile, Perrette's claims were strengthened when Shivers' ex-wife, Bebe Buell, came forward with her accounts.

The couple eventually got engaged and exchanged vows in front of their loved ones, but they were never legally wed.

According to Buell, she was met with several false police reports, complaints, and more after she told her then-husband to find work in Los Angeles. "Instead, he found Pauley. His next meal ticket," she said.

Buell also alleged that she was a victim of Shivers' stalking and torment. However, Shivers vehemently denied all claims made against him.

Soon after, other women came forward with their encounters with Shivers. Perrette bonded with many of them and pooled efforts to ensure Shivers no longer bothered them.

Pauley Perrette Was Engaged Twice after Her Divorce, but She Never Got Married Again

Although her first marriage did not work out, Pauley Perrette's dating life became active again. She entered a four-year relationship with cameraman Michael Bosman.

The couple eventually got engaged and exchanged vows in front of their loved ones, but they were never legally wed. According to Hello Magazine, Perrette said at that time:

"We just kind of wanted it to be about an ideology of everybody and of generosity and community."

"We'd been waiting until everyone could marry before we did it ourselves," she said in an interview. Sadly, their relationship ended in 2008.

She claimed to have an imaginary boyfriend named Adam on Twitter, who has a job and a pet. However, living a single life brings Perrette happiness.

After Bosman, Perrette fell in love with former British Marine Thomas Arklie. The pair were together for some time and got engaged in 2011. However, she still did not want to tie the knot until same-sex marriage was a right given to everyone in California.

When marriage equality became a right in 2014, she and her then-fiance still did not tie the knot. According to the actress, she intended to support the LGBTQ community by taking a stand but was in no rush to walk down the aisle herself.

She did, however, proudly address Arklie as her fiance on Twitter. Perrette and Arklie never became husband and wife. It is unknown when their relationship officially ended.
