In February 2023, Allison Holker, Stephen "tWitch" Boss's wife, appeared publicly for the first time since his unexpected death. The star's wife featured in an Instagram video on her account and opened up a little to followers.

Stephen, who died by suicide at 40 on December 13, 2023, allegedly didn't leave a will behind. In February 2023, it was reported that the dancer's wife asked a California court to give her half of their joint estate after announcing his death with "the heaviest of hearts."

In the Instagram video, Holker appeared teary eyed as she admitted that things had been "emotionally" and "challenging." However, she was grateful because fans had given them inspiration and hope by sharing their memories, stories, different ways and moments in which Stephen affected their lives.
The late dancer's spouse recalled how her husband had lived his life from love and made people feel a "certain way." Holker said she and her family always wanted to ensure their purpose was to bring people joy, and it would remain their goal, adding:
“I hope that we can remember the feeling he gave us and remember that we can still move from there, we can still move and choose love and we can still choose grace and we can still choose kindness."

Stephen's widow hoped she and her family could continue bringing joy to people's homes through dance and love. She felt that goal wouldn't change for her family but noted how it would feel different and wished people would remember the "feeling" Stephen gave them and that they could continue moving from there.
Judging by Holker's video, she appeared to be hanging in there. It was revealed that after losing her famous husband, Stephen's wife had redirected her energies on focusing on something important to both of them.

In 2008, Stephen got his first big break in the entertainment industry when he starred on "So You Think You Can Dance." Two years later, he met Holker on the same show, and the pair were joint all-stars on the series' seventh season.

At the end of that year's dance competition, Holker and Stephen began seeing each other romantically. After his big break, the dancer and discj jokey (DJ) became an executive producer on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" for nine years until his death.
According to a source, Stephen's then 35 year old widow was "doing as well as expected" since she lost him. Now that he was gone, her priority was their three children, Weslie Fowler, Zaia Boss, Maddox Laurel Boss, and she was more focused on being the best mother she could be, with the insider noting:
"The support from friends has been invaluable."

A fan who responded to Holker's post sent blessing's to Stephen's wife and family, but sadly, looking after her children with the late choreographer was challenging for the dancer. Holker was now fighting in court for herself and her offspring so they could have access to Stephen's estate.
Stephen's Death Aftermath: His Widow and Their Three Children Can't Get Anything from Estate
Reports revealed in February 2023, around two months after Stephen's death, that on February 6, 2023, Holker made a California Spousal Property Petition. The filing was done in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County.

It's believed that the filing was a standard procedure in the widow's situation. According to reports, California law declared that a surviving spouse was entitled to half of their partner's joint estate after they died.
Stephen ["tWitch" Boss] had lived in California throughout his marriage, and he and his wife [Allison Holker] hadn't written any agreements regarding how their properties would be divided.
However, the surviving spouse would have to file a petition that proves they were married to the person who passed on. Holker allegedly asked for "confirmation of property belonging to the surviving spouse" and a "determination of property passing to the surviving spouse."

The court filing detailed property, including quasi-community property, that Holker wanted the court to rule that she should receive half his estate as Stephen's surviving spouse. However, she wasn't asking for administration of her husband's estate.
The late star's spouse also included facts about her relationship with Stephen in her filing that she hoped would confirm that she was his surviving partner. Holker revealed they married on December 10, 2013, and had zero net worth.
After marrying his wife, the late dancer didn't receive property as a gift, life insurance, joint tenancy, or any other beneficiaries. Stephen had lived in California throughout his marriage, and he and his wife hadn't written any agreements regarding how their properties would be divided.
On February 11, 2023, Holker's close family and friends attended a memorial service where they emotionally honored him and said goodbye. According to reports, more than 500 people attended to pay tribute to the late star.
Stephen's Celebration of Life service was held in Los Angeles, where his wife and their daughter Weslie, then 14, addressed those gathered. Speaking to People, Holker said her late husband "was the light" and chose grace, love and kindness, which she and his fans could also apply in their lives.
The late star's widow also noted how her husband deserved to be celebrated. The Amomama team hopes and prays that Stephen will continue resting in peace and that his family will find comfort and the will to move on.
