Marra Was a Single Mother

In June 2020, Marra's son took to Twitter and shared that his father, Jeffrey Lynn Steininger Sr., had passed away when he was younger, which resulted in Marra raising him in a single-parent household. Marra's son shared:

"Happy Father's Day! Today is always very hard for me, as I lost my dad when I was 5 years old. He didn't want to live anymore, and my mom was left to raise me all by herself."

Although he avoids labels for his sexual orientation, Marra's son admitted that he was gay and that it was never something Marra and her son spoke about when he was younger. However, Jeffree revealed that his mother, friends, and family accepted him for who he is. Marra's son said:

"I got lucky because I have a parent that actually supported me. I get e-mails daily from kids that say things like 'my dad hates me because I'm gay' or 'people in my town don't accept me because I look different.’ That's a terrible, (messed)-up thing. I am so thankful that I've never had to go through that."

Among his multiple tattoos across his body, Marra's son inked a portrait of her and his grandparent alongside tattoos of Marilyn Monroe, Princess Diana, Matthew Shepard, and Anthony Hopkins.
