Actor Tom Sizemore Dead at 61 after His Family Was Begged to Save His Life

American actor, Tom Sizemore, known for his roles in titles such as "Saving Private Ryan," “Black Hawk Down," and “Hearts and Souls," is currently on life support. His family has to make the difficult decision about whether or not they will end his life.

The actor's family have been by his side throughout the ordeal, but doctors have now told him they will need to make the tough decision as there doesn't seem to be any hope of him recovering.

Sizemore suffered a brain aneurysm which has left him in critical condition. He suffered the aneurysm in the early hours of Saturday morning in his Los Angeles home. He was then hospitalized and placed in intensive care.

Charles Lago, Sizemore's manager, said they had been forced to wait before they knew what would happen with Sizemore's health. The 61-year-old has a history of drug abuse and is known to law enforcement.

At the time, doctors said they would need to wait and see what they could do for him, but have now said they have "no further hope" that he will recover from the incident and live a full and happy life again.

Talking about what the doctors told the family and what the family is now facing in terms of Sizemore's health, Lago said:

"The family is now deciding end-of-life matters, and a further statement will be issued on Wednesday."

Lago said it had been an incredibly difficult time for the family and that while they are grateful for the messages of love and support they received during this time, they are now requesting privacy as they make difficult decisions.

The manager mentioned that making the decision to end Sizemore's life or keep him on life support has been heart-wrenching for the family and that a further update would be issued on Wednesday, March 1. Sizemore then passed away on March 4. The statement from his family said he passed peacefully in his sleep. He was surrounded by those nearest and dearest to him when he died.
