The social media user said they were "over" the Bradys although they'd loved them in the 1980s and 90s. The follower felt Reckell's character had to remain dead and Alfonso's needed to "stay away."

However, not everyone was against their return with one person thinking the new storyline was "absolutely fantastic!!!!" Another fan shared how they'd marked their calendar in preparation because they were ready to see the Brady love story continue.

In July 2022, the actress addressed the comments she made about coming back to the soap opera. Alfonso clarified, “I have seen online where viewers have stated that I said, ‘Never’ regarding [returning someday] — I never said never,” adding:

“I said that I will not be popping in and out like other actors have done in the past. I didn’t say I’m never, ever coming back. I was not absolute.”
