Paula Deen Declares It's Never Too Late to Find Love as She Celebrates Anniversary with Husband She Met at 53

Celebrity chef Paula Deen celebrated her 19th wedding anniversary with Michael Groover this week. She wrote in a March 6, 2023, Instagram post that he's the reason behind her smile since she met him when she was 53.

Paula Deen reminded her following that it is "never too late to find true love." A fan of the Savannah-based personality said that they needed a love like that, calling the pair "adorable and precious." Another thanked the southern chef for sharing her love story and recipes.

A long-time follower said they remember the courtship and beautiful wedding, wishing the couple a happy anniversary and "continued best dishes with friends and family." A Florida fan commented: "So happy God ordered your steps to each other."

For her 12th wedding anniversary, Deen wrote in a blog that she was still "giddy as a schoolgirl" when looking back at their wedding day, stating that they were still in their honeymoon phase.

She wrote that she gained two kids when she remarried but is celebrating one "a little extra" that day.

The menu at the ceremony boasted Southern food staples like shrimp and grits, pickled okra sandwiches, and fried collard green wontons. The chef and Groover are still madly in love, spelling out L-O-V-E in a social media split screen where they held up the individual letters for Valentine's Day 2023.

Paula and Michael Weathered the Storm of a Rumored Divorce

A few months before their pearl anniversary that Deen wrote about so fondly, she and Groover looked to be heading towards a divorce. The former TV chef had gifted their three-bedroom home in Savannah to the tugboat captain in 2015.

A year later, on April 8, 2016, her motion to void the transfer was granted. Groover was rumored to have cheated on his wife, which he denies. The couple acquired the home around the time they married in 2004.

Paula Deen shared a snap with her husband, stepson Anthony, and his wife Ashley on February 18, 2023. She wrote that she gained two kids when she remarried but is celebrating one "a little extra" that day.

Wishing her stepson a happy birthday, she said: "We're so proud of the son you are to us…." She praised his parenting of his "precious children" and the husband he is to Ashley.
