Luckily, Miller was around to comfort her. He offered her great support when she needed it most, which helped her overcome her grief. Later, Miller once again provided the backup Burnett needed when she filed for legal guardianship of her grandson, Dylan Hamilton West.

Dylan's mother, Erin Hamilton, had struggled with substance abuse problems throughout her life. Since her son's birth, Hamilton has attended rehabilitation centers on and off and has been institutionalized a total of eight times. Despite the numerous times Erin has gone to rehab, her mom thought it prudent to take responsibility for Hamilton West.

Burnett noted that Dylan's living environment with his mother was "unstable," and she admitted that his conditions weren't conducive to a stable upbringing. So, in 2019, Burnett and Miller decided to file for guardianship to give the little boy a better home until his mother shook her addiction for good.

Just like Jennifer Aniston's husband supported her, Miller sticks by Burnett's side. She opened up about her daughter's death, saying the pain hasn't faded after all these years. She shared, "I think of her every day. She never leaves me…I just feel her."
