In March 2022, Sandra Bullock confirmed that she was taking a break from her acting career. The star confessed that she didn't know how long the break would be, but at the time she needed to be where she felt happiest.

That was her home where she lived with her children Louis Bardo and Laila Bullock. Sandra said she took her acting job seriously when she was doing it; however, it was a 24/7 commitment and she wanted that time to be spent with her babies and family.

She explained that she was going to be with them for a while. The star revealed that she was taking time off while promoting one of her last projects, her last movie, "The Lost City," with her noting how she could be creative and still a part of the community.

The mother of two said her work in front of the camera needed a pause until she didn't feel the way she felt when on camera. The Oscar Award-winner had been in the industry for nearly 35 years and looked as good as she was when it began.

In 2010, it was revealed that she settled for half of her usual $10 million fee when filming “The Blind Side." However, she was set to make more than her fee because the movie was a hit, and despite having million-dollar roles, she gave that up for her children and seemingly had no regrets.

What made the actress more proud than her work was being a parent. The "Bird Box" star didn't have an easy journey into motherhood, like how her first marriage to Jesse James, only lasted for five years (2005 - 2010) and they didn't have children.

Despite the divorce and dealing with Hurricane Katrina's devastation, something in her heart made her believe she was destined to be a parent. In June 2018, Sandra opened up in an emotional interview about how she chose to adopt.

The actress confessed that she'd started thinking parenthood wasn't a possibility, and then the hurricane hit. The natural disaster occurred in New Orleans and a "weird" instinct told the teary-eyed star that her child was there.

The "Speed" star said the "sweetest part" of her journey was discovering that both her children were in the same place! She found out she was going to be a mother while in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where her mother was buried.

Speaking about Louis in 2013, Sandra said he didn't have a clue she was famous. The "Miss Congeniality" star felt it was right for her son now to know what she did professionally as it wasn't important, and described what her role was, stating:

“I’m simply the mom who makes the lunch, drives to school, finds where the toys are, washes the clothes, and I’m here to play. And that’s all I should be."

During a interview that same year, Sandra confessed to having "found the love of my life,” in Randall at age 50. The star said they shared three children, including his older daughter, and the relationship was the best thing ever.

Sandra once shared that she didn't need a piece of paper to show how devoted she was as a mother and partner. The actress began dating Randall in 2015, when she adopted Laila, and called her boyfriend "saint" for being "patient" when their youngest daughter was added.

The parent said her life was already on track when Randall came into it. He didn't want anything to do with her stardom but was the right human being to be there and assist her with life's trials.
