Renée Taylor starred in the immensely popular comedy series "The Nanny," opposite the lead actress Fran Drescher. The New York City native started her career as a comedian, gathering a relatively small audience at a nightclub called Bon Soir. Eventually, she found success in films with the movie "The Producers."

After finding her feet in Hollywood, the actress went on to star in an entire ensemble of films, including "Lovers and Other Strangers" and "Made for Each Other." She won numerous awards for acting and branched out to add screenwriting and playwriting to her already extensive resume.

After finding widespread fame as an actress and starring in the iconic TV show "The Nanny," Taylor reflected on her decade-spanning career alongside her close friend and co-worker, Drescher. The two made a video together after their TV comedy started airing on HBO max. They were both astonished by the influx of new fans.

Impressively, Taylor is still close with Drescher. The two shared plans to start a new incarnation of the classic show. Taylor opened up about her diet, saying she keeps herself healthy by following the Dr. Oz diet, which encourages dieters to only eat during the day, avoiding meals past sunset or sunrise.

Bologna was an actor like his wife. He made a name for himself by starring in projects such as "My Favorite Year" and "Blame It on Rio." Bologna also made appearances on television shows frequently. The actor lost his life to cancer, spending much of his final days under the supervision of a crack team of doctors at Cedars Sinai.

His wife commented on his passing, commending the doctors who did their best to prolong his life and thanking the medical center for its excellent service and dedication. After the death of her husband, the actress devotes much of her time to her remaining family, which includes an adorable grandson.

In November 2022, Taylor posted a video of her grandson in a cute Dobby the house elf getup as he explored the outdoors. Taylor mentioned he was named after her late husband, and fans commented that Taylor seems to be making an excellent granny. Taylor added that her grandson had turned one year in the video.

Last year was a milestone for her young grandson, and this year is one for Taylor. The actress turns 90 in 2023, although her age isn't stopping her from exploring the world and staying active. She recently posted a photo of her in Vero Beach, Florida. She also enjoys sharing funny videos with her followers on social media.

What Weight Problems Did Taylor Have?

Taylor has been open about the problems she has faced in the past. She spoke out about her husband's death soon after he passed, detailing the last days of his life. Similarly, the actress has candidly spoken out about her struggle with maintaining her weight. She shared:

"I just happened to remember my life in terms of what I was eating. Whenever I met somebody famous, I'd ask them what they were eating because I thought, well if I eat like them, I'll look like them. So it never worked, but that's how I was thinking."

She always thought losing weight would guarantee specific roles, so she was always trying new diets. Luckily, her role in "The Nanny," alongside Drescher, put a stop to her relentless dieting.

The actress realized that she was popular despite not being as skinny as many of her contemporaries. So, Taylor turned her attention away from fad diets and worked to be healthy instead. She accepted herself, wrinkles and all, and advised, "What's really important is your body feeling good."
