'Yellowstone' Kelsey Asbille Shares 'Little Brother Appreciation Post' to Honor Her Younger Sibling Forrest
Kelsey Asbille entered the acting industry as a mixed-race young lady who expressed unapologetic pride for her heritage; however, she wasn't the only one who inherited a multicultural identity. The 31-year-old recently celebrated her love for her younger brother, Forrest, in a short and sweet Instagram tribute.
Kelsey Asbille has been careful to protect her family from the spotlight, as she rarely posts about her siblings or parents. But on another one of those rare occasions, she recently shared a string of photos and clips of her younger brother, Forrest, in what she called a "little brother appreciation post."
Among the media is a clip of Forrest running around with his two furry companions, with whom the 20-something-year-old shares an endearing bond. Kelsey included another picture of him sleeping shirtless beside the adorable pups in the back of a car. Forrest also enjoys rollerskating, as another one of the clips depicts him doing so with someone named Chelsea.
He's also a big fan of snacks. Forrest and Kelsey also have a younger sister named Kiersten, but she doesn't appear in the appreciation post. Though these tributes are rare on the actress's timeline, it's not the first time her brother appeared on it.
Back to 2017, Kelsey shared a photo of Forrest holding a large sippy cup, posing next to a poster for the movie "Wind River." Kelsey starred as Natalie in the mystery film alongside Jeremy Renner, Julia Jones, and Elizabeth Olsen.
She and her siblings are of Chinese (from her father's side) and Cherokee descent (from her mother's side). During a brief interview in October 2010 with LA Teen Festival, she revealed that she could speak Chinese Mandarin but admitted she needed to improve.
Kelsey has always been proud of her heritage and expressed her hopes to have well-rounded knowledge about all her cultures. Her role in the drama series "Yellowstone," also starring Kevin Costner and Luke Grimes, allowed her the opportunity to do just that, at least in part.
But most importantly, Kelsey's family played a significant role in her work as the source of her inspiration. She rose to fame when she starred as Gigi Silveri in the show "One Tree Hill" between 2005 and 2009 before moving on to appear in Disney's "Den Brother." Kelsey is also known for her recurring role as Mikayla in Disney XD's "Pair of Kings."
