Kathie Lee Gifford Mentions Late Husband Frank While Celebrating Son’s 33rd Birthday

Kathie Lee Gifford rejoiced on her son's birthday, posting a photo of him with his newborn on March 22, 2023, "33 years ago, this beautiful man made his entrance into this world, and today he understands what love is."

Veteran anchor Kathie Lee Gifford wrote that she and her late husband Frank Gifford were blessed to have brought Cody Gifford into the world and now "feel double blessed" that he and "[Erika Gifford] have brought little Frankie into it." Her daughter-in-law Erika commented: "Greatest guys on the planet!"

Frank Sr. died a week shy of his 85th birthday in 2015. The former sports broadcaster and NFL football player for the New York Giants and Kathie Lee were married for 29 years. She said that though he was physically still in good shape, his short-term memory was failing due to sports injuries.
