Amanda's brother, Tommy, was born to Rick and Lynn Bynes on December 5, 1973. Tommy is the eldest in the family. His dad has Irish, Lithuanian, and Polish roots, and his mother comes from an Ashkenazi Jewish family. Tommy's father is a retired dentist, and his mother worked as an office manager.
Growing up, Tommy had to learn two religions. His father practiced Catholicism, while his mother practiced Judaism. Tommy is also the author of "Sinner to Thinner," a diet and wellness book focusing on healthy living. The book gives insight into fitness and nutrition tips people can use to improve their health. Tommy is passionate about his job and has hosted many wellness and weight loss lectures.
He encourages people to attend his classes by giving them different incentives and prizes. For example, in one of his lectures, the grand prize was an autographed copy of the movie "Hairspray" signed by his celebrity sister.
