Harper Willow Grohl Is Dave Grohl's Daughter – She Once Played the Drums at Dad's Concert

Harper Willow Grohl is the daughter of iconic Foo Fighters musician Dave Grohl, who played for Kurt Cobain's Nirvana -- and she might follow in her dad's footsteps.

Nirvana guitarist and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is the proud dad of three beautiful daughters, but the one who seems to be the most like him is Harper Willow Grohl.

A dark-eyed brunette, Harper has her father's coloring and her mother, Jordyn Blum Grohl's beauty. She also appears to have her dad's love of music, and fans wonder if Dave Grohl's daughter will follow in his footsteps.

Foo Fighters founder and frontman Dave Grohl married his second wife, Jordyn Blum, in 2003, and three years later, they welcomed their first child, Violet Maye, on April 15, 2006.

Three years later, the Grohl family grew when Harper Willow was born on April 17, 2009. Ophelia Saint was born on August 1, 2014, and Harper became a big sister at long last.

Fans were stunned when Dave welcomed Harper onto the stage as a fellow performer at a concert in Iceland.

Harper is growing up and is now a beautiful young lady. Like Kurt Cobain's daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, Harper seems to have musical talent.

Harper Is Dave's Second Daughter

Fans had a rare opportunity to see the Grohl family together on February 5, 2023, when Jordyn and the three girls accompanied Dave to the 65th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Harper is the middle girl but also the tallest, having outstripped big sister Violet. While Violet wore a sassy black outfit with a mini skirt, boots, and dramatic makeup, Harper's look was softer.

She wore her hair loose, with just a trace of smoky eye makeup, soft lipstick, and an ethereal pale pink printed voile dress with lightly frilled puffed sleeves for a 1930s feel.

Having a rock star as a dad certainly has perks, and one of them is getting your first piano lesson from the legendary Sir Paul McCartney at the age of five like Harper did. Dave revealed:

"So he sits down at the piano and starts playing 'Lady Madonna.' (...) [Harper had] never taken a lesson to play any instrument at that point, and she sat down and she watched his hands. They sat together, and he was showing her what to play."

Playing piano with a Beatle can only be followed by playing drums on stage with a Foo Fighter. A few years later, fans were stunned when Dave welcomed Harper onto the stage as a fellow performer at a concert in Iceland.

Dave described Harper as the "next generation." She led the band in a rendition of Queen's "We Will Rock You" in front of an audience of 20,000 people.

Harper and Her Sister Violet Attended an Event to Honor the Late Taylor Hawkins

Harper is growing up immersed in the history of rock 'n roll. Not only is her dad a Rock&Roll Hall of Famer (twice over), but she had the opportunity to know many other iconic musicians.

Among them is the legendary Taylor Hawkins, with whom Harper shared a stage at the drums and sadly passed away on March 25, 2022.

In April, just days before her 13th birthday, Harper joined her mother, her father, and her sister Violet at a tribute to Taylor Hawkins, and she wore a beautiful goth-inspired romantic black dress.

The Grohl family joined the music community and wore black as a sign of mourning for the Foo Fighters drummer, who passed away at 50.
