Woman Thinks Her Baby Died, 48 Years Later Hears ‘Don’t Cry Mommy’

A heartwarming meeting between a mother and a son she had given up for adoption was achieved after great effort. Listening to the miraculous reunion made many people cry.

A 48-year-old man, Lisandro Repetti, contacted the Comodoro Rivadavia Second Police Station in Argentina seeking help locating his birth mother.

He knew her only as Martina Martinez, a woman he believed to be at least 60 years old and living on Entre Ríos street. The officers began their search but had little information to go on—and things did not look hopeful.

The Son Never Stopped Searching

Despite their best efforts, officials could not find Martinez in the area. Still, her son refused to give up. He had dreamed about meeting his birth mother for decades.

Thankfully, after looking for her name in the justice system, police discovered a possible address for Martinez and went to investigate. Repetti hoped this information would lead to his mother.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Martinez couldn't hold back her tears and began to cry.

The Moment the Son Had Been Waiting For

After speaking to neighbors, the police located the person they had desperately been trying to find. In April 2022, they made contact with Martinez over the phone and notified her that a man was looking for her.

When she asked why, the police handed the phone to Repetti, and Martinez would soon realize her life was about to change forever.

The emotional reunion between mother and son was recorded on video, and their conversation was heartwarming. It began with Repetti introducing himself and asking Martinez if she had a baby when she was young.

“Yes, yes, I was about 15 or 16 years old," she confirmed. "But didn’t he die?” she asked, to which Repetti quickly replied;

"He didn't die. You're talking to him right now."

The Emotional Aftermath

When Repetti revealed that he was Martinez's son, the disbelief in his mother's voice was palpable. Overwhelmed with emotion, Martinez couldn't hold back her tears and began to cry. The son on the other end of the line was equally emotional.

The duo both spoke of their desire to meet each other in person and for Martinez to meet her grandchildren. It was a conversation filled with love, hope, and forgiveness.

Repeatedly, Repetti told his birth mother that he loved her with all his soul. He expressed:

"Don't worry, I love you very much, and I've been looking for you for a long time. Don't worry, nothing's wrong. We're going to see you in a short time. Don't cry, mom, be happy you have grandchildren. Don't cry, mommy. I love you with all my soul."
