After her first taste of motherhood and preparing to become a mom of two, Catherine Reitman created the hit series "Workin' Moms." The famous actress based the show on her life and has often candidly spoken about the wins and hardships that come with being a mother with a career.

In a recent Instagram post, Reitman took a trip down memory lane and shared a picture of her eldest son hugging her growing belly. The actress was awaiting the birth of her second son before gearing up to film the first season of her successful project, "Workin' Moms," nearly ten years ago.

"7 years ago today. All fear, hope, and adrenaline. The season one writers' room had just closed as we waited for the baby to arrive so we could move to Toronto and begin shooting the show everyone had said 'no' to. With that one glorious 'yes,' we waited for the baby to turn 5 weeks old and left all of our possessions behind to cut our teeth on the show that would become the next seven years of our lives. Here's to the next adventure," she shared in the caption.

The mother of two produced, wrote, directed, and starred in "Workin' Moms" but endured a long journey to get it on the small screen. She wrote the thirteen episodes of the series' first season, hired a new crew, auditioned actors, packed her home to move to Toronto, Canada— where "Workin' Moms" is filmed— and ensured she spent time with her son all while pregnant with her second child. After selling the show to CBC, Reitman said:

"Nothing is too personal. I made a commitment early on that if I was doing this, I was telling the truth, showing my blood. It's as scary as it gets. But it also makes me feel very human."

And after seven seasons, 83 episodes, and multiple awards, Reitman said goodbye to her "other baby" after the final season of the series aired in January and is set to air on Netflix in April. Off-screen, Reitman is a doting mother and welcomed her two sons, Jackson, who was born in 2013, and Liam, with her on and off-screen husband of fifteen years, Philip Sternberg.

Like John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, Reitman and her husband have shared the screen, and the actress revealed that it took some time to try and find a way to work with her husband and return to normal once the camera stopped rolling. However, she felt lucky to sit across from her husband and best friend and know he was rooting for her during every scene.
