Jennifer Landon Stuns Posing in Black Leather Cowboy Outfit & Hat
Jennifer Landon attended the County Music Television Awards to support her co-star but ended up stealing the show in an all-black outfit. After an acting hiatus that stretched over a decade, the actress landed a role in the hit show "Yellowstone" and followed in her late father's footsteps.
In a recent Instagram post, Jennifer looked chic in a black leather sleeveless suit. To keep her CMT look simple and classic, the actress opted for no jewelry and tied the look together with a matching cowboy hat. Jennifer attended the award show in Austen with fellow "Yellowstone" actor Ian Bohen to show support for Lainey Wilson, who also stars in "Yellowstone," and left the award show with two wins.
"It was such an honor to introduce one of the most talented, cool, and kind humans I've ever known, Ms. @laineywilsonmusic," she wrote in the caption of the post, which received nearly 18, 000 likes at the time of writing.
Jennifer had taken a break from acting for twelve years when she received the script for "Yellowstone" and was immediately drawn to her character, Teeter. She said, "I didn't think I was going to get the part, but I fell in love with the character, thinking this was the weirdest and greatest thing I'd ever auditioned for."
She related to her character on a personal level. Much like Teeter, who had a very original and unique accent, Jennifer had a great-grandmother who was a "rodeo queen" and had a very distinct accent. Jennifer also felt her role in "Yellowstone" was written in the stars as she was living on a cattle ranch in Paradise Valley, Montana, during her sabbatical from acting. "So, to end up on a show set on a cattle ranch in Paradise Valley, Montana, was kismet," she shared.
Jennifer is a second-generation actor in her family, and although the rest of the world remembers Michael Landon as Charles Ingalls from "Little House on the Prairie" or Jonathan Smith in "Highway to Heaven," she remembers him to be an amazing father. Michael welcomed nine children from three marriages and, according to his daughter, was a very present dad.
Jennifer Landon fondly recalled how her dad turned the snow outside their holiday ski lodge in Vail, Colorado, pink after pouring Nestlé Quik — her favorite snack — all over the backyard and sending his kids out with spoons. "He was a fantastic father who was curious about everything and loved to teach the children," she shared.
