Julie Benz Exposes Her Toned Abs at 50 in Lacy Brassiere & Sequined Suit in Photo
From working out on a trampoline to going for walks and dancing, Julie Benz has enjoyed keeping active for many years and proved she has reaped the benefits in a recent Instagram post. The actress also shared tips on staying healthy and taking care of her skin.
On April 6, Benz wowed as she posed in a black sequence suit paired with a matching black patterned bralette. The actress went for a darker eye and a lighter lip, but her slim arms and toned abdomen stole the show as Benz is still in fantastic shape at 50 and has shared how she keeps fit.
In 2020, she posted a sped-up video of herself breaking a sweat during a workout on a trampoline before hitting the floor to focus on her core with wearable weights. In 2021, her wearable weights and trampoline made a comeback in a video the actress shared of herself getting a workout in with some music on a Sunday.
Another fun way the actress stays in shape is by dancing. In March, Benz was joined by a few other people as she busted a few moves in a dance studio. However, for the actress, staying active was not only about her physical health but her mental health as well. During an interview, Benz revealed that she would use walking as a way to recharge.
She said, "I love walking and listening to podcasts. I find walking, being in nature, being outside, a quick and easy way to rejuvenate my spirit." As for her skin, Benz's secret weapon is pretty simple— sunscreen.
"Wear sunscreen every day. You only get one skin, and you want to keep it looking good," she said. While the actress tries to get all her nutrients and minerals from her food and maintains a healthy diet, she shared that she did take chewable vitamins for her hair, skin, and nails.
Career-wise, Benz has shown no signs of slowing down and revealed that, like her good looks, her career has only improved with age after the lessons she learned. When she was younger, the actress admitted to feeling like she was not enough.
But after landing a role in "Dexter" alongside Michael C. Hall, the actress learned that she didn't need to try to be someone else and was enough. "This lesson also applies to my own life—in my thirties, I stopped trying to please others and started living life on my own terms," Benz shared.
