New Orleans-born actor Carl Weathers always wanted to be an actor, but he started as a successful football star, playing with the Oakland Raiders. He retired in 1974 and smoothly transitioned to his life's goal — to become a Hollywood actor.

Like many actors who have walked that path, he started small, with roles in two blaxploitation films, "Bucktown" and "Friday Foster." In 1976, he landed his breakthrough role playing Apollo Creed in "Rocky" and reprised his role in three other "Rocky" movies.

With a career spanning four decades, Weathers has cemented his place in Hollywood with his appearance in other diverse films such as "Action Jackson" and "Happy Gilmore," as well as playing Greef Karga in "The Mandalorian."

Carl Weathers Was Married Three Times, but All His Marriages Ended In Divorce

The actor first joined the marriage institution when he exchanged vows with his first wife, Mary Ann Castle, on February 17, 1973. They welcomed two children and lived in marital bliss for the next decade. Sadly, that came to an end in July 1983.

Seven months after the end of his first marriage, Weathers walked down the aisle with his second spouse, Rhona Unsell. That, too, ended in a divorce years later.

Not one to give up easily, Weathers tried his luck at love again, marrying award-winning creative content producer Jennifer Peterson in 2007. Laden with talent, Peterson is also a director and writer known for her Hallmark show "The American Rescue Dog Show."

She also takes credit for short documentaries such as "There's Something About Mary," "Rocky 25th Anniversary," and "Heaven is for Real." Besides producing fan-favorite shows, she is also passionate about helping rescue animals.

Unfortunately, her marriage to Weathers did not last long, and barely two years in, the two called it quits, citing irreconcilable differences.

Carl Weathers Was Spotted With Actress Christine Kludjian at Many Events Over the Years

In the years following his divorce from his third wife in 2009, the actor has remained mum about his love life. He mostly uses his Twitter page to raise awareness about social issues, much like Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman, and Michael J. Fox.

However, in recent years, the celebrated actor has been spotted in the company of "The Chronicle" actress Christine Kludjian. The two were spotted together at the 74th Golden Globe Awards in 2017, the launch of "Men of Science Fiction," and the premiere of "The Mandalorian," among many others.

Their hard-to-miss appearances at these red carpet events have raised questions and speculation from fans, who wonder whether they are an item. Unfortunately, neither has come out to support or deny the rumors.

Like Weathers, Kludjian, who played alongside other renowned actors like Reno Wilson in 2001's "The Chronicle," has also had a successful film career and has appeared in numerous other films, including "Escape Under Pressure" and "Black Dawn."

At 75, Weathers has an array of film credits under his belt and is not slowing down. If anything, his career is as busy as ever. He recently appeared in the new season of "The Mandalorian" and directed some of the episodes for which he received praise from his fans.
