Lisa Marie Presley's Ex Gets Custody of Twins after Not Even Being Invited to Funeral: 'Money-Hungry Jersey'
- Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Lockwood had a messy divorce, and he was later not invited to her funeral. Lisa once accused Lockwood of harboring a collection of "indecent images," and videos on his computer that made her "sick to the stomach."
- Lisa's mother, Priscilla, chose to support Michael amid the divorce and she did not want anything to do with both of them.
- There are fears that Lockwood only cares about custody of the kids for money, as he was left penniless.
Late singer Lisa Marie Presley's former husband, Michael Lockwood, has been granted custody of their 14-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley.
This was Lisa's worst fear while still alive because she and her ex had been going back and forth over a custody battle since they filed for divorce. According to an insider, the current events are not what she would have wanted.

Lockwood filed a petition to become the legal guardian of the former couple's children in the absence of their deceased mother in March 2023. His plea was heard by Los Angeles Judge Lynn Healey Scaduto, who granted him custody in April 2023.
Lockwood's lawyer, Scott Rahn, said his client told the judge that he was now readily available to look after his daughters' interests.
Judge Scaduto reportedly asked whether Lockwood had any relationships with his two kids, and his attorney claimed the musician was on good terms with them.

Since the news made headlines, social media users have shared their thoughts online and have taken to Facebook to express them.
"He's a money hungry jersey! Reason why he lost custody when LM was alive," one person said about Lockwood. Another commented, "If there was no money attached to them, he wouldn’t care if he had them or not."
Lisa & Lockwood Had a Messy Divorce
Lockwood and the mother of his kids tied the knot on January 22, 2006, in an intimate ceremony in Kyoto, Japan. They welcomed their twin girls two years later, in October 2008.
Lisa divulged her then-husband was overwhelmed for the first few weeks of having their girls. The couple took turns in caring for the newborns.
Lisa believed she had found an ideal partner in the California native after three failed marriages. However, it turned out to be the opposite as she filed for divorce in June 2016 and cited irreconcilable differences.
The songwriter, who ended her fourth marriage after ten years, claimed Lockwood was a poor dad who "took advantage" of her financially.
In addition, amid that period, reports suggested Lockwood hindered Harper and Finely from attending their late grandfather Elvis Presley's 85th birthday celebration in Memphis.
In the court papers, filed as part of a messy divorce dispute, Lisa revealed their daughters Harper and Finely had been taken away from their custody – and placed under protective custody by the Department of Child and Family Services.
The mother of four alleged Lockwood was under criminal investigation after authorities discovered hundreds of inappropriate images of minors on his electronic devices.
Lisa expressed in the divorce filing that she was "shocked and horrified and sick to my stomach" at the alleged revelations.
The investigation ended in March 2017, and Lockwood was not charged with anything, nor was there an official case opened against him.
The guitarist and his ex-wife spent years in court battling over finances and were also at loggerheads over custody of their twins.
Their divorce was finalized five years after their split in May 2021. Meanwhile, the producer was reportedly left near penniless after he tried to overturn the prenuptial agreement and was denied.

Lockwood and Lisa went back and forth in court until she died in January 2023 at age 54. He was not invited to her funeral, and it infuriated her eldest child, Riley Keough, that he gate-crashed it thanks to her grandmother, Priscilla Presley.
Riley always rallied behind her late mom when she went through the drawn-out messy divorce and draining child custody battle. According to reports, Priscilla went against her daughter in favor of Lockwood regarding the custody disputes.
The mother and daughter duo reportedly rarely spoke before the latter's death. This was in spite of their public appearances together.
Multiple insiders revealed Riley found it disheartening that her grandmother flew into her mother's funeral with Lockwood and helped get him inside the ceremony despite her mom's wishes. One source disclosed:
"The last thing Lisa Marie would have wanted was for Michael to be there."
Lisa's Estate Battle
While Lisa and Lockwood fought for custody, her mother has now started another legal battle by questioning the validity of her will.
Priscilla claimed her daughter's signature on a 2016 statement seemed "inconsistent." Since Lisa died, she and her granddaughter Riley have been battling her will and estate in court.
Priscilla filed legal documents disputing who will be overseeing her daughter's estate. Lisa initially had her mom as a trustee but removed her and later appointed Riley to oversee her trust.
While she and her parent did not get along, Priscilla has created another dysfunctional relationship with her granddaughter, with whom she has not been getting along since the legal case.
A source previously claimed Priscilla's move was "strictly a money grab," adding she and her daughter did not have a "relationship." Other insiders disclosed the two were not on good terms when Lisa passed away:
"Lisa didn't want to have anything to do with her mom. She was basically estranged from Priscilla for the last seven to eight years. They only talked when there was no option."
Another insider revealed in February 2023 that Lisa was going through a time in her life that affected her relationship with her mother, adding:
"They did not have a healthy or close relationship, and it was very complicated. Lisa Marie always felt Priscilla was trying to have control over her."

Meanwhile, although Priscilla gets along well with her former son-in-law, there were rumors that her daughter's second ex-husband, Danny Keough, reportedly wanted custody of Lockwood's twins.
Danny had moved into the family home following the tragic death of his and Lisa's son Benjamin, who took his own life in July 2020.
But according to California law, the musician would not have succeeded in getting custody of Harper and Finley if he had attempted to fight it in court.
In addition, after recent news of Lockwood getting custody of the kids, Riley was reportedly left enraged because of the ruling. She is concerned about "losing" her younger half-siblings to an "outsider."
