Buzzi entered the world on July 24, 1936, in Westerly, Rhode Island. Her most famous role as an actress and comedian came in 1968 when she was cast in the comedy variety show, "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In," which aired until 1973.
In 1964, she was nationally recognized for her role in "The Gary Moore Show" and then went on to star in 1967's "The Steve Allen Comedy Hour," after which she starred in "You Can't Do That on Television" in 1979.
Buzzi had an outstanding career in Hollywood and was beloved by many, yet she announced her retirement from acting in 2001, much to fans' dismay. She has remained beloved all through the years.

In December 2018, Buzzi talked about her Hollywood career and revealed how she stayed in shape for her shows and comedy specials that demanded physicality. She shared:
"I ran, worked out, and surprised people with my strength."
While she had fun being the comedienne that was the favorite of many, she admitted that she much preferred being at home with her husband and her animals and relaxing.

In July last year, Buzzi's husband confirmed that she was "bedridden and incapacitated" after a series of strokes at 85. He confirmed that she wanted her fans to know she was not in pain and knew her fans were sending all their best wishes her way.
Kent Perkins, who Buzzi wed in 1978, said she could still recognize her family and friends and communicated well. He then said, "I am living with an attitude of gratitude for 43 years of marriage to my best friend, the greatest person I ever met."
Perkins also shared that Buzzi had been dealing with her health scare with humor and bravery before assuring fans, saying:
"Whatever happens, please know you have always been loved right back in return."
Although Buzzi recovered well, a vapid rumor in early March this year prompted Buzzi to share her thoughts on Facebook. One YouTuber spread rumors that Buzzi had died, and the veteran actress quickly took action.
She mentioned she was aware of the rumor and was hurt that friends and fans worldwide would see the news and be shocked and upset. She called on YouTube to ban sites like the one that had created the rumor forever.
Buzzi had hired an attorney to deal with the case but was upset that she had been unnecessarily distressed by someone trying to claim she had passed away when she was alive and well.
The actress clarified she was well and in fact, sitting with her husband at their Texas ranch, enjoying the view from their house on a hill. She mentioned that she might make an example of the person who spread the rumor and ended her post by confirming:
"Rumors of my passing are greatly exaggerated."

Buzzi also shared a photo of herself in a cowboy hat and red floral blouse enjoying a meal at a restaurant around the time the rumors began. She had makeup on and looked well following her strokes. Fans praised her in the comments for looking so wonderful. One fan said she looked "fabulous" and had a beautiful smile.
Buzzi's New Life on Ranch Far from the Public with the Love of Her Life
Buzzi's husband is also an actor whose career began in the early 1970s. However, he is also now retired with his wife, and the pair moved out of Hollywood and onto a ranch in Texas where they could enjoy some privacy.

The pair are animal lovers and have done much for the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch. Talking about her love for all things animal, Buzzi said:
"Instead of listening to managers and agents, I get to hear cows mooing, roosters crowing, and the pitter-patter of little duck feet down by our beautiful lake here at the ranch."
She also joked that raising ducks wasn't as easy as it might seem to others.
Perkins and Buzzi have been together for over four decades, and fans have often wondered how they have kept their love alive all that time.
They are often asked what their secret is to staying happily married in an industry that doesn't often see relationships go the distance, and they're happy to share some tips.
However, their marriage advice is quite unconventional and different from the usual talk of communication or having shared interests. Instead, the couple prefers some separation.
When asked what their secret was, Buzzi said separate houses are what has kept them together for so long. Buzzi revealed that she and her husband had always had separate homes.
The actress said that while they always stayed together in one house or the other, having the option to return to their own home has been outstanding for their marriage. She also joked it did wonders in terms of vacations.
Buzzi revealed that they seldom needed a vacation because whenever they got bored of staying at one house, they could switch over to the other house without much hassle. What a sweet love story!
