Corey Mylchreest Showered with Compliments by Fans after 'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story' Premiere
Following the announcement of the highly anticipated series, "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story," Corey Mylchreest has become a heartthrob among fans and looked handsome at the show's premiere.
In a recent Instagram post, Mylchreest documented his first premiere with the rest of his "Queen Charlotte"— a spinoff of "Bridgerton"— cast mates at the Netflix show's premiere in London. Mylchreest, who plays a young His Majesty King George, walked the carpet in a tan suit he paired with a black tie, a matching black shirt, and black shoes.
"Oh boy, oh boy. First ever premiere done and dusted. Thank you @prada and @hollyevawhite for the suit, (and) @petransellge for making me look presentable," he captioned the post. And in the comments section, fans showered Mylchreest with praise for his good looks. One fan wrote, "Duke who?" referring to "Bridgerton" season one heartthrob, Duke Simon Basset, played by Regé-Jean Page.
"You looked very dapper indeed!!" another fan shared, and a third added, "Now thissss I can't wait to see (sic)." "OUR KING," a fourth fan added. Despite his popularity— which saw him garner nearly 50,000 followers on Instagram— Mylchreest rarely posted on social media and only had eleven posts on Instagram at the time of writing.
Originally from England, Mylchreest received a Bachelor's in Acting at the H Level from RADA in 2020. Although he is most known for his upcoming role on "Queen Charlotte," Mylchreest's acting resume includes roles in "The Sandman" in 2022 and "Elevator Pitch" and "Mars" in 2021.
According to reports, Corey Mylchreest and his "Queen Charlotte" co-star India Amarteifio, who plays young Queen Charlotte, are believed to be single. Also an England native, Amarteifio landed her first big break on "Doctor Who" in 2015.
Since then, Amarteifio has appeared in "Line of Duty" and "The Tunnel" in 2017 before playing Lizzie on Netflix's "Sex Education." Before making a name for herself in the acting industry, Amarteifio was an aspiring actress and won a scholarship to the Sylvia Young Theatre School in 2013.
Seeing as "Bridgerton" is set in the Victorian ages in England, it comes as no surprise that Mylchreest and Amarteifio are not the only stars of the franchise to hail from England. Ashely Simone, who became a fan-favorite in the second season of "Bridgerton," grew up in Surrey before moving to London. Her on-screen sister, Charithra Chandran, who plays Edwina Sharma, also hails from London.
