'Time Flies When You're Having Fun': Alex Drummond Celebrates Second Wedding Anniversary With Mauricio Scott
It's the second wedding anniversary for Alex Drummond and her husband, Mauricio Scott! Alex gave a glimpse into their celebration on social media by sharing sweet memories with followers in several posts.
Alex Drummond shares a series of photos from her wedding to remind herself and others about the happy moments she experienced with Scott. She added a caption: "Time flies when you're having fun," noting that she enjoys being Mauricio's wife.
Younger sister Paige Drummond commented under Alex's post that the couple is her "favorite."
The second post Alex shared contains a short video highlighting the moments from the wedding night. Beautiful floral decorations, the first dance of the groom and bride, and some guests can be seen in the clip.
Followers could also see Mauricio's emotions when Alex walked down the aisle - he could barely hold back his tears during the touching ceremony. Drummond wrote, "Little did we know this was only the beginning of the fun!"
Ree Drummond came to share her best wishes with the couple, writing, "Awww, can't believe it's been 2 years!" Paige also commented on this post, saying she wishes she could go back to that happy day.
The same day, the Pioneer Woman's daughter gave a sneak peek inside her anniversary celebration. On Instagram Stories, she shared part of the evening meal with Mauricio, which included "BLT" mac and cheese - BLT standing for bacon, lobster, and truffle.
In her article, Ree Drummond noted that it's the same way she celebrated anniversaries with her husband, Ladd, except they had bacon, lettuce, and tomato instead.
Alex and Mauricio married on May 1, 2021, on her parents' ranch in a spot chosen especially by her father. Drummond opted for a simple, elegant dress with no sleeves, and lace covered her corset and skirt. Alex noted:
"Most importantly, it was comfortable enough to wear all night, and it twirls—which was great for the dance floor."
Mauricio decided to wait for a special moment and first saw the bride only when she was walking down the aisle to him. He felt it was more important to him than taking "first look" photos with Alex.
The pair got engaged less than a year before at Mauricio's stepmom's birthday. Alex's family was also involved in the preparations for the engagement, as her sister Paige helped decorate the location, and other members were present during the special day.
