Jackie from 'The Doris Day Show' Promised to 'Live a Life' That Would Make Late Son Proud – At 89 She Still Looks Happy

Jackie Joseph is a renowned actress known for her role as Jackie Parker in "The Doris Day Show" and as Audrey in "The Little Shop of Horrors.”

She has also been part of other shows like "The Gremlins" and "Small Soldiers." She was born in 1933 in Los Angeles and has been married to her husband, David Lawrence.

As a member of the "The Doris Day Show," she attended Doris Day's 96th birthday. Doris was over the moon to be celebrated by her friends and family.

The party was a fun game night of “The Doris Day Show” themed bingo night led by only Joseph. The two actresses go a long way together and have starred in the movie "With You Six, you Get an Eggroll."

When Day died in 2019, Joseph shared a post expressing that she was working and did not know that her friend was suffering. She believed that Day would have a legacy that will forever be remembered and her impact on the industry.

The actress said she shared many unforgettable memories with Day and was certain that her friend would rest in peace knowing she was loved and celebrated. "Goodbye, my darling girl; I'll see you in my dreams," she wrote.

Day was known for loving animals and spent her retired days around them. Even after her passing, all of the commemorations of her career and the proceeds from them have been donated to her foundation, Doris Day Animal Foundation.

Joseph was married to her first husband, Ken Berry, and together they had a son Joseph Berry who died as an infant in 1962. He was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial in Hollywood, California.

The actress and Berry adopted a son John in 1964, but he died from a brain tumor at 51. Then the couple had a daughter, Jennifer, who died of natural courses at 55.

Jennifer was a proud schoolteacher. She graduated from the University of Southern University and studied Philosophy. She was also known to be an elementary school's dedicated and loving teacher.

She and Berry divorced, and she married Lawrence in 2003, and they have been together ever since. However, she still remembers the children they shared together.

The actress shared a tribute to her children, John and Jennifer, who she said were 11 months apart. The mother of three said she would forever remember them together. She added, "Of course, I think of you always with gratitude for our time together."

Even at 89, she still visits the grave of her first son, who only lived for six days. Joseph had one promise for her son, and she wrote, "I promised him I would live a life that would make him proud. John always thought of him as a brother … together now, quite a force of nature."

The actress has experienced many significant and painful losses, but even through that, she still lives a happy life with her husband and travels the world with him.

Joseph kept to her promise to her son and lived happily with her husband. She shared a sweet picture of herself with pink flowers in between her teeth.

The big smile on the actress' face had so many fans happy. "You are so beautiful!" excitedly said a fan. Another expressed how much they loved Joseph's smile and flowers.

Another fan pointed out how charming her eyes were, and just like the rest of the commenters, the smile was another feature that stood out. A person said she had the "most adorable and expressive eyes."

She and Lawrence are also still keeping things fresh in their relationship. Joseph and her husband went to celebrate their first trip since he had a "cluster surgery."

The actress was grateful to have made it back safely, but she expressed how jet-legged they were and were spending the rest of their days lying on the couch and recovering from their trip.

They also had a cruise, and the actress shared a picture of them in floral outfits and wrote, "From The Doris Day Cruise on Crystal Cruises ship... life-changing with new friends." At 89 years old, and the tragedy that has happened in her life, she still does her best to enjoy her life with her loved ones.

Her children will always be in her heart, and she will forever keep their memory alive for as long as she lives. She is grateful for her first son, who only lived for six days and introduced her to the beautiful journey of motherhood. Her other two children also grew up to become successful and caring people, which Joseph will forever be proud of.
