Elliot Page showed off his toned torso in a new shirtless photo. Thanking gender-affirming care for giving him "joy" on his transition journey, he recalled how he spent summers before undergoing treatment.

With a cap on and eyes squinted, Page turned up the heat flaunting his toned muscles and a few inks, and shared how he looked forward to sharing more of his transition in his latest Instagram post.

Of the difficult past summer times, he wrote:

"Dysphoria used to be especially rife in the summer. No layers, just a T-shirt - or layers and oh so sweaty - constantly looking down, readjusting my oversized T."

"I never thought I could experience this, the joy I feel in my body," Page added. After his transformation, the actor never shied away from baring his upper body, showing off his six-pack abs and a scatter of tattoos dedicated to his best friends.

In an interview, the "Juno" star revealed he never "worked out more" in his life, but being in his body now got him hooked.

"The feeling of being really engaged with it, present, pushing it and getting stronger and gaining weight. It's thrilling. I feel like a kid doing it," he shared.

Page publicly came out as transgender for the first time in December 2020. In a lengthy statement, he revealed his name change while asking everyone for patience amid his journey.

Two months later, the Oscar-nominated actor and ex-wife Emma Portner filed for divorce after three years of marriage.

Portner, a Canadian-born professional dancer, publicly showed support following Page's coming out, reportedly saying she was "proud" in a now deleted post.

Since then, Page has been working on his upcoming memoir, "Pageboy." Last year, he revealed the book's cover, which shows a photo of him in a white tank top, denim pants, and a necklace. On why he finally decided to write a book, he said:

"Writing a book has come up a few times over the years, but it never felt right, and quite frankly, it didn't feel possible. I could barely sit still, let alone focus long enough to complete such a task. At last, I can be with myself in this body. So, I've written a book about my story."

"Pageboy" would hit the shelves on June 6. The release would be supported by a book tour in several cities, starting on publication day.
