During a podcast episode of "Homo Sapiens," Georgia Prichett told the host that she had advocated for Greg to be gay in the early days of the show, but things didn't go as planned as when the show got to season three, he hadn't done anything with anyone.

Braun revealed in an interview in 2021 that he had yet to find the right person, but he admitted he was hopeful. He told the publication he had never had any lasting relationships and said:

"I haven't really been in a long-term relationship, ever. I do yearn for it, and yet I'm incapable of it. I go toward it, and then I hit a wall where I'm like, I can't go farther into this. I've got to exit."
