Pierce Brosnan's Rarely-Seen Son Showed His Baby - After Painful Childhood, He's a Happy Dad of 2 Now
- Pierce Brosnan is the proud grandfather of two children.
- Pierce's son, Sean, had a painful childhood and turned to substances for help.
- Sean has fully recovered and is doing better than ever with his family.
Pierce Brosnan was one of Hollywood's most famous heartthrobs for much of the 1990s, with his roles in "James Bond" making him a household name. However, his personal life could have been more enjoyable.
Pierce Brosnan is the father of five children, and one of them had a difficult upbringing because his mother passed away. However, he has turned his life around and is a family man like his father.
Sean has now taken to Instagram to share photos of his son and daughter often. Pierce is the proud grandfather of the children. The family has come together to get through times of grief and discomfort.
Sean took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and his son lying on a blanket outdoors. Sean gazed at his son as the tiny tot smiled up at the camera. Sean wore a paisley bandana, and his son wore pants with bears on them.
Fans said the photo exhibited true love and gushed about how cute Sean's son was. The baby's name is Jaxxon Elijah Brosnan, and he was born in November 2022, becoming the second child to Sean and his wife, Sanja Banic. The pair also share a daughter named Marley May.
Pierce announced Jaxxon's birth on Instagram shortly after it happened in November 2022, congratulating his son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter on the new addition to their family and wishing them all peace. Talking about his grandchildren, Pierce gushed:
"I'm a proud grandfather now. There's still a lot of life in the old man, and I'll keep going till I can go no more. Life is so precious."
The actor adores being a grandfather and has often been seen publicly spending time with his grandchildren. In 2017, Pierce was seen out on a walk with his son, granddaughter, and daughter-in-law.
Pierce held his granddaughter in his arms as the family walked, even though she was old enough to walk independently. The family appeared content and as though they were thoroughly enjoying one another's company.
Why Did Sean Brosnan Have A Painful Childhood?
Pierce Brosnan and his late wife, Cassandra Harris, welcomed their son, Sean, in Los Angeles on September 13, 1983. The family lived happily until a tragedy rocked their world in December 1991.

When Sean was only eight years old, his mother died from cancer. Talking about the tragic event, Sean recalled:
"I remember the day my dad told me she passed, and it was a few days after Christmas. He started to cry, but I didn't cry. I was comforting him."
It took Sean six months to understand that his mother would not be coming back. That's when his placidity quickly morphed into anger. This affected all forms of Sean's life, especially his social circle at school.
After his mom passed away, Sean went from being a famous child with many friends to being an outcast who felt alone. Then Sean started experimenting with drugs to try and overcome the feeling of isolation.
When Sean was 16, he was involved in a severe car accident that led to an addiction to painkillers. Sean broke his back, shattered his collarbone, and injured his pelvis and femur. Doctors administered opioids while Sean was hospitalized as he learned to walk again.
While addicted to opioids, Sean attended the Central School of Speech and Drama. When he graduated, he performed with the British Shakespeare Company and had a few roles in Hollywood.
Sean described himself as a "drug connoisseur" after leaving the hospital. He admitted that he tried many different things but never stuck with any one specific thing besides alcohol. He first tried to get sober at 25 and even attempted suicide as a cry for help.
Sean then managed to stay sober for a year and a half but fell apart again when his sister, Charlotte, passed away from the same cancer as his mother in 2013. It started when he had a drink on the plane on his way to be with his family.
He realized that it was part of the disease that made him feel like he could drink and nobody could blame him because he was going through a difficult time. However, in 2014, Sean turned his life around for good.
How Is Sean Doing Now?
2014 was the year he met and married Sanja, and he described that year as a "spiritual process." By 2015, the couple had welcomed their first child, and their son came along seven years later.
Now, Sean is no longer focused on being an actor like his father. Instead, he is focused on becoming a mental health clinician and psychologist. He currently works with addiction but would also like to work with grief and loss.
Sean is a licensed professional counselor who focuses on his clients as people rather than "a cluster of symptoms." Sean has obtained his Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, too.
His TikTok page, @thecounSOULer, is dedicated to counseling practices and sharing advice with his fans. He also has a website by the same name and has a spiritual approach to the counseling he provides.
Sean's wife, Sanja, is also a health coach. While her husband works with people's spiritual and mental wellbeing, Sanja is more focused on people's physical wellbeing. She credits her journey to her passion for fitness with her wanting to be of sound mind and healthy body.
Sanja admits to struggling with body image for years before she became a health coach and says her passion for coaching grew from wanting to help others avoid the traps and pitfalls she fell into.
She now works with her clients to produce lasting results that will help them look and feel their best without any quick fixes, which Sanja does not believe are effective in the long-term aspect of a person's life. A dynamic couple, indeed!
