Gavin Casalegno's Parents: His Mother Is His Rock and Shaped Who He Is

Since their son discovered his passion for acting, Gavin Casalegno's parents supported the actor's career, taking him to his first audition. However, the actor's mother and father have also been his "foundation for everything" beyond his career.

Gavin Casalegno is a talented actor and model known for his role as Jeremiah Fisher on the series "The Summer I Turned Pretty." Although he has recently found fame, the actor on the rise has been acting since he was a little boy, and his parents have played a significant role in his journey.

After telling them he wanted to be an actor, Gavin Casalegno's parents, Allyson and Bryan Casalegno, helped their son land auditions and have been by his side since his career took off.

Gavin Casalegno's Parents Cultivated Their Son's Talent

Gavin was born in 1999 and enjoyed watching TV with his parents when he was a little boy, later discovering his love of commercials. "I found commercials fascinating," he said.

After telling his mom and dad that he thought it looked fun, Allyson and Bryan took their son to a local audition. Gavin was six when he initially kickstarted his career as a model. He said:

"My mom had a friend that recommended us to this agency, and it started off modeling. I modeled for like four years, and after that, I got my first audition, and I wanted to see how my career went. It then got a lot better and easier."

Gavin Casalegno's Mom Works in Social Media

Since May 2018, Allyson has worked as a Social Media Manager and Content Creator. Like Kim Kardashian and her sisters, the actor was managed by his mother. Following her son's fame, Allyson went everywhere with Gavin as he was a minor and required a guardian on set.

Always being by his side afforded Allyson to see how much effort her son put into his craft, as she said, "[I am] more proud than words can say. Most people don't realize how much work the acting business requires... So when we get to see him in a film, knowing the amount of work he put in, it's definitely a proud moment."

Allyson recently stopped being her son's manager, and in June 2022, she took to Facebook to offer her services as an experienced social media manager. Even though she has taken a step back from her son's career as his manager, she has undoubtedly played a significant role in his life.

After starring in "The Summer I Turned Pretty" alongside Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney, Lola Tung, and others, he spoke about the relationship between his character and his character's family. The actor had drawn from his relationship with his mother to ground his work in the show. Gavin said:

"She's such a rock in who I am and my foundation for everything that I've done as far as my career, my identity, everything."

Gavin Casalegno's Father Also Has Managerial Experience

While his wife and son have pursued careers in the entertainment industry, Bryan has enjoyed a long career in technology. In 1994, he was responsible for internal communications for the US Navy before he became an engineer.

Like his wife, Bryan has also worked as a manager. He was recently appointed the Technology manager at the IT services and consulting company Ericsson, where he has worked for nearly a decade.
