Tory Lanez Has a Stepmother

The situation only worsened when his faith healer and preacher father, Sonstar Peterson, remarried nearly two years later. When the rapper's stepmother moved in, his other siblings began to leave their home as they did not want to be with her.

As the youngest, it came to the point where he was the only one of his siblings left in their home. Still, his father could not control him. Meanwhile, his stepmother would help Sonstar find a new school and suggested boarding school.

Lanez didn't have a good relationship with his stepmother, causing him to move from home to home until becoming homeless. Amidst his rebellious stage, he fueled his energy toward music. Music enabled the rapper to release his frustrations, emotions, and energy. He even released a track for his mom, "Thank You, Mama."
