Tory Lanez's Kid Was Born during a Difficult Time in His Life

Born on April 12, 2017, Tory Lanez's kid, Peterson, is his firstborn and only child. The rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer was present to witness his son's birth and even had good conversations with Peterson's mom before labor.

Shortly after Peterson's birth in Florida, his father was arrested in the hospital. "I was coming out the hospital [...]. I didn't even get out the parking lot," he narrated. The day even became more memorable for the rapper because of his arrest.

Lanez was involved in another legal battle in 2020 after Megan Thee Stallion claimed he shot her after a pool party at Kylie Jenner's house. The incident allegedly occurred in his car after they got into an argument.

Peterson is his father's most significant support system and inspiration, so much so that the rapper brought his son to his court trial in 2022.

According to Lanez, he and Peterson's mom understand their roles as parents and share responsibilities. They successfully co-parent their son raising him to be a good individual.

While speaking about Peterson's mother, the rapper revealed he would never disrespect her on social media. Lanez tweeted:

"I would never get online and fix my lips to disrespect the mother of my child for social media ... the same respect we uphold for our mothers we should uphold for the mothers of our offspring."

In 2019, Lanez opened up about raising a toddler, highlighting the age Peterson began repeating words he would hear. At this point, the artist knew his words began to matter. He said:

"He's gonna take [the words], and he's gonna say them until they actually become real to him."

Besides Azalea, he was in an alleged whirlwind romance with another rapper, Megan Thee Stallion, in 2020 until their legal feud.
